I tried AdP Colonia, Intensa and Assoluta last week and kind of got interested in other EdC scents. Like 4711, Roger & Gallette Extra Vieille. I would like to try more of the same. What are your favourite OdC scents?
Guerlain Habit Rouge EDC

Chanel Cologne (from the Exclusifs collection) is very nice also.
There are several threads on this with good suggestions.
C&S Neroli (for practical purposes an EdC,despite higher oil concentration) - an excellent no-nonsense neroli for men.
AdP Colonia - classic, wonderful citrus-floral
Farina Gegenüber - the original, hesperidic sharp, fresh, but lightyears from 4711.
R&G Extra Vieille - best value for money, a great EdC
Guerlain - Impériale, du Coq, Fleurs de Cedrat, Eau du Guerlain are all excellent
Creed Bois de Cedrat - perfect citrus
Berdoues No. 444 Extra Vieille - little known, discontinued, worth finding.
Asprey Purple Water - a little modernized, unisex citrus-floral
Dukes of Pall Mall - the best British style citrus-white floral, discontinued & extremely rare
Trumper's West Indian Limes - the most authentic lime, beautiful, but very short-lived.
also worth trying:
CdG Vettiveru - an interesting take on vetiver
Myrurgia 1916 - nice citrus-herbal cologne
Eau de Patou - cream citrus-floral
Creed Selection Verte - best summer frag ever, citrus-mint heaven
R&G Cologne - a modern orange cologne by D. Ropion
Penhaligon's Castile - neroli plus rose, very smooth and comfortable
Monsieur Balmain, superb lemon, another great value for money frag
de Nicolai Cologne Sologne - a soft neroli EdC
de Nicolai Balle de Match - terrific grapefruit

II est de forts parfums pour qui toute matière/Est poreuse. On dirait qu'ils pénètrent le verre.
Are we talking about traditional Eau de Cologne recipes, or something that has an EDC concentration? I assume it's the first...so my fav's:
-Eau du Coq by Guerlain
-Eau de Cologne by Chanel
Although I haven't tried them yet, the Institut Tres Bien colognes are supposed to be fabulous.
Zagara di Sicilia
Bois D' Argent
"A great perfume is a work of art, it can lift our days, haunt our nights and create the milestones of our memories. Fragrance is liquid emotion. And that never goes out of fashion. " MICHAEL EDWARDS
My one is AdP Colonia Assoluta - perhaps just because I don't know the original Colonia
I've just reapplied it generously, in the extreme hungarian afternoon heat, and it's so refreshing...
Du Coq by Guerlain
Eau du Sud by Annick Goutal
Hermes eau d'Orange Verte I'm sure was just overlooked by the_good_life... he rated it excellent last time.
Fredric Malle Cologne Bigarade is very well done also.
Hot weather is made for wearing cologne.
and there are some 5 star — great threads from the past discussions of colognes — well worth searching for.

AdP - Colonia Assoluta
"I exist for myself, and for those to whom my unquenchable thirst for freedom gives everything, but also for everyone, since insofar as I am able to love - I love everyone. Of noble hearts, I am the noblest - and the most generous of those that yearn to give love in return. - I am a human being, I love death and I love life."
Egon Schiele - Self-Potrait
My classics: Dior Homme EdT, YSL Rive Gauche PH, Helmut Lang Cuiron, L'Occitane Neroli (vintage), Davidoff Zino, L'Occitane Eau des Baux
TOP 5: Xerjoff Fiero,Nebula II O&Co, Gendarme EDP, Opus 1144,Mark Birley Men
Definately Guerlains Cologne du 68
T_G_L is always so fast on the sprayer on these threads that I am left filling in the ones he forgot. Except fredricktoo did that. So I really have nothing to say. Except Creed Citrus Bigarrade which has chypre tendencies, so isn't really a cologne. My two favourites are Guerlain Imperiale and R&G Extra Vieille.
Eau de Lalique. The most overlooked unisex cologne I have. Can always be found cheap online. I love it!
Ha. Knew there was one.... the fantastic...
VILLORESI ACQUA DI COLONIA
Very special indeed.
I will add:
1. Acqua di Parma Colonia Intensa (Doesn't last too long on my skin, so I keep a mini at work and reapply a drop or two as needed.)
2. Caswell Massey Sandalwood. A very nice, one-note (per their website) sandalwood that lasts a looooong time on my skin. Longer than many of my edt's.
Snarky is as snarky does.
I love Lorenzo Villoresi Acqua di colonia
