Not my favourite, but still might do for you as a sexy, sensual frag: Paco Rabanne Black XS. 'Sensual' for me implies some sweetness, and you might find it in this. I think the ads are right, this was created for the young people. And I think young girls mostly love it.

Rochas is a classic....very sweet without being overly synthetic, the vanilla/coffee/chocolate notes carry this scent beautifully.....wonderful, rich and definition of what a gourmand should smell like.

Joop Go! (personally hate it, got as a gift).

Sum1 mentioned earlier about being complimented when ppl are in front of u etc...well i get it quite often....it will usually be sum1 ahead of me in a queue..they will turn around for a breif minute, pretend they are looking for soemthing, and turn back.the brave ones will ask...'hey whats that your wearing'.

my god......i dont think Rochas Man can be topped....i can not wear it anywhere without being stopped and asked about "that smell".....i was in Bath&Body Works and had every worker in there come up to me to ask me to write down what they were smelling......

How does this one compare to Rochas Man? Does it still have that sweetness going for it or is it totally different?

on me the intense vanilla/caramel sweetness is tempered by a wonderful coffee note that kicks in 5-9 minutes into the fragrance development......i think its the coffee note that tempers Rochas from going into "too sweet" stratosphere that can be attributed to Gaultier2 for example.

the sillage is always pretty good even when you dont notice the scent yourself.....and its difficult to overdo rochas, especially in casual situations.

    Absolutely right on Rochas Man!
i had a sample of it and lost it! but i will never forget this smell. it's just perfect! nothing annoying in there or nauseating.Plain delicious. the longer u smell it the more intense it gets! I only wore it once and had a compliment from this hot optician where i had to take an eyesight test for my licence.
She:" WOW! this frag smells nice! how is it called?" i said:"Its my skin baby ." she laughed but i told her to give me her number and i'm going to use RM on a date with her so she can enjoy it longer. i immediately ordered the full bottle today!!

Default oh my god! you smell INCREDIBLE!

This is the reaction I'm looking to evoke (from women!) I've been focusing on more elegant and complex scents; which, don't get me wrong, they're marvelous; but, they're sometimes out of place with what I do. At a party full of 18-21 year old kids, I don't need a fragrance that would order a scotch on the rocks, I need the wild and crazy... the beer pong champion of scents. The one that makes you get called on for every celebrity shot.

Ideally, I'm looking for blatantly hardcore sex in a bottle. Something with no shame and nothing to hide; just the perfect execution of an insatiable primordial lust to refine all 365 Kama Sutra positions in one night. It's the translation of orgasmic olfactory stimulation into wet panties, rapid heartbeats, and a loss of words that allows this scent to work it's wonders; something so charming that resistance is rendered futile, and there is no hope of escape for a girl who has just inhaled the teeniest whiff of this golden juice. Like diamonds to her sense of smell (if she's lucky she may get a pearl necklace too ), this scent has to stand out yet retain a subtle demeanor that doesn't scream or shout it's presence.

You know what's cool about this particular scent? We've all got it. Whether or not we know it, at least one [wo]man reacts like this to one particular fragrance we wear. Of course, they're not going to admit it or show it to you, but you'd be surprised how much women can love what a guy smells like.

So then, let's get on to it! For the sake of recommendation, I will tell you what works well on me, but I'm also very curious as to what else garnishes relentless female attention for you (as every skin type is different). Fresh citrus fruits (grapefruit/mango are the two best) and light florals with spiced (incense is amazing), light woods and maybe a tiny bit of musk/patchouli work best for me. Un Jardin sur le Nil is the perfect example; that scent is flawless for my skin type. Any and all recommendations, as well as your own secret weapons of nuclear warfare on helpless chicks, would be awesome (PSST Alex, I'm looking to you for help on this one!). Thanks guys

You can get it at beautyencounter.com. Right now, they only have Havana Reverva, but honestly they're 95% the same and personally, I like the Reserva a little better. They should have samples at the perfume court, and I would definitely recommend trying before buying as it's not for everyone...

Im wearing Havana as my SotE tonight, and its a very new scent to me.
Its nice, but I definitely wouldn't come to the same conclusion that this is the Alpha and Omega of sexiness and primordial desire.

Musk Ghazelle by Ajmal is the closest I've come to finding sex in a bottle.

I agree with you on Havana. It is a very nice tobacco scent but nowhere, imo, near the likes of Domenico Caraceni Pour Homme and Tabacco Toscano for sexiness.

I have Musk Ghazelle also. I never knew that my wife had a sister but you must be married to her. My wife's reaction is the same!

you ask for alex and here he comes.....you know my original reason for signing up for this site was to find the "holy sex grail"...the scent that would define my appearance, my sexual appetite and charm......i've actually developed the flavor for scents themselves.....however you can say i'm still a bit of an expert on "what females like".

first of all.....Gourmands....you can never go wrong with those - especially since we are talking about females 16-23......the top three attention wise in that order are

#1 Rochas = this one is as anything close to foolproof as it gets.....Guaranteed....swim in it buddy because the females will swim right at you....to them its deep, sensual, sweet and absolutely absorbing...
#2 Body Kouros = definite powerhouse, you will get stopped in stores and in class and asked what you are wearing...and those that wont ask will notice it and love it.
#3 Bond # 9 New Haarlem = this one has a bit more of a bitter coffee note but it gets it share of love.

    Fresh/aquatics

Outrageous! by FM = gets busloads of attention..crazy attention But you must apply it quite liberally for it to work...once you do the reaction is extraordinary...no fresh/citru/aquatic ever came close

Allure homme Sport/cologne = from the designer side of fresh frags this one is a definite monster.

    Oriental

Musc Ravageur = young guy + spicy cinnamon/vanilla musk and adult edge = college females go berserk....i would even go as far as layer it with something fresh or sweet because when MR dries down it becomes too "dirty" for my taste....

Bond # 9 Chez Bond = GIT for younger audience......sweet with that edge that I cant put my finger on....females always ask to sniff and resniff.

    Boozy

Killians Straight to Heaven = beautiful natural sweetness soaked in rum.....this one will get you the 18 year old and the 32 year old......amazing longevity and good projection and lsts for days....very expensive though but gorgeous gorgeous.....best linear scent bar none.
Burberry London = boozy classic....never fails to get compliments...

    Spicy

Juicy Couture Dirty English = spicy campfire yet gorgeously sexy......this one has become an insta classic with females...i know 3 that say nothing comes close to getting them open as does dirty english....amazing results.

and here is a hidden citrus classic = D&G light blue pour femme....the beautiful citrus will come across musky and manly on your skin(as it does on mines) and will not be recognizable by any female as the fragrance she uses daily......got incredible reaction from that one.

so, in conclusion.....attention wise in order

    Rochas
    Outragous!
    Dirty English
    Body Kouros
    Chez Bond
    D&G Light Blue

I have DC1913, but that's more of the scotch-on-the-rocks type of scent for me

For those of you familiar with it, Givenchy's Fresh Attitude Summer Cocktail is a fantastic scent, although the longevity and sillage are both subpar. Good juice though

But I'm optimistic, I think if I try it over and over and over again I'll finally find what I've been missing out in it

Which Rochas are you talking about? I tried Reflets d'Eau de Rochas a while back, and I didn't like it so much. Very flat melon note, which ruined the scent

What acceptfacts said. Yeah. Rochas Man can be purchased for ~$24 at those mall discount places. I would absolutely recommend New Haarlem, Chez Bond, and Straight to Heaven (I wore StH today and jeez, I told myself I smelled incredible.

I'd also add Bleecker Street, West Side, and Wall St from Bond (maybe even Saks for Him). Really, the whole line is very updated, urbane, and young.

A great incense that isn't like churchy incense is Passage d'Enfer by L'Artisan.. really nice with touches of white musk.

A clean, bright scent with a touch of sweet warmth is Geir. I only recently discovered it, but I'm quite glad I did. It's really a fantastic thing to reach for when you don't want to announce your presence with something loud or funky, but still unique enough that people notice and comment. Ditto to acceptfacts Outrageous! rec as well... it actually fits much of my generic, nondescript comments about Geir Good stuff!

    Dimitri/TwoRoads,
You both definitely have me interested in Musk Gahzelle. Where would one find this magical elixir?

You need to check out Montale's White Musk. A slick and sexy combination of ylang ylang and white musk. I know your tastes well enough from our interactions and I think you'd really like this (to make you feel safer, I should say that I don't love the scent, since I just know that if I did, you'd hate it, with our polar opposite tastes and all )

I've actually been fiending to try White Musk. I'm going to set up an order from LuckyScent along with some other ones, like Soleil di Capri (is that right? I don't recall it off the top of my head) so I can experience some of Montale's scents, beyond the Aoud's. But it's good to know you don't love this scent, that means there's still room for me to like it!

It's really quite good, I'm just not sure it's me. It's not terribly complex and doesn't evolve all that much, but I don't think you want a scent that does given your search criteria. I've been finding I'm not a fan of the house of Montale in general, but this scent stood out as something special.

first of all.....Gourmands....you can never go wrong with those - especially since we are talking about females 16-23......the top three attention wise in that order are

Great post, specially considering the "target", 18-25 females.

Body Kouros gave me LOT s of compliments. Really.

Scents like Allure are also really loved by this kind of "targets". MEn do usually like it less than women, and even though i m not that fond of it (but still find it nice), i m always amazed to see how many complimtents it does garner.

Caron PuH and L'Instant EDP gave me lot s of success with 18-25 girls as well.

Niche do not work that well with this "public" , but work much better with females older than 25 imo.
    Current top 10 in no particular order : Malle - Carnal Flower (pre 2008) ; Montale - Black Aoud ; Bond #9 - Silver Factory ; Tauer - L'air du désert marocain ; C&Z - No 88 ; Francis K. - APOM ; Creed - Aventus ; Amouage - Epic ; Profumum - Dulcis In Fundo ; Amouage - Opus V

shock and awe and guttural laughter. But seriously guys, this thread has had my jaw dropping. And please don't mind me, I'm just a chic lurking, but I just had to stop and offer up a grunt here.

In particular I love the idea of a scent inducing trust.

Don't take me wrong. I'm not immune to the power of a man's scent, mind you. I am here, you know: I'm noting some of these fragrances. And I'm not actually doubting any of your conquests, nor the impact your fragrances may have had upon them.

I'm just wondering who ARE these young hotties rendered immune to their higher cognitive skills, and are they wearing heels or perhaps running shoes when they chase you down?

When I have kids I'm clothes pinning their noses shut. Dangerous deceptive heartbreaking boys. Bad men with bottles of doom.

Maybe I should just shut up and go back to lurking the Humbert Humbert thread.

I'm surprised that Nightflight doesnt evoke this reaction (I've gotten a heap of compliments wearing it from the under-25 crowd). IIRC you gave this a glowing review?

Thank you, lushsoup, for providing a bit of perspective. As a man over 30 who no longer views women as targets, allow me to apologize for the *ahem* exuberant youthful attitudes. There's nothing wrong with trying to get a little hey-hey, but please bear in mind that some of us find trust and intelligence to be the greater aphrodisiacs. And might I add that it is a shame that some of your witty references will go unappreciated by many who read this thread. Well done, indeed!

Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to write some of these suggestions down.

Nothing but L'eau d'issey ever got me that kind of reactions, and these days I absolutely despise aquas.

Not one unsolicited compliment/comment on the hundred frags since then.

And Woo-Hoo for men over 30!

Yes, you're excused to take those notes! (Me too. I guess I'll be my own "target." Maybe I'll swoon over some of these too...must tell husband about that Musk Gazelle. The poor beast.)

Ultimately, YOU start to figure out what smells good, and the fact that women start to respond isn't very magical because you already know you smell great. On the other hand, I appreciate niche because you are wearing something that she has NEVER smelled before, and you end up looking much more sophisticated.

the reason why i said females associate Eclat Lanvin D'arpege with subconscious sense of trust is, because this scent's presence has this quiet, hidden grip which literally makes the sniffer relax his sense of caution in order to fully enjoy that magical floral musk......i've been told that by number of females.....and its the only fragrance i have ever introduced to every single female and have found that not one did not want a bottle for themselves immediately.....thats where the idea of trust comes in....comfort=trust....you trust someone comfortable enough in their skin to wear a women's perfume and readily admit to it....when you have positive emotions towards a scent and associate it with a person(a particular male), every time you wear it it will have a positive association of that male (until of course he ruins it).....

thus where i drew the conclusion of Happiness=comfort=trust=eclat lanvin d'arpege

very over simplified but you get ther gist....=)

seriously, maybe its my personal association but seriously Lush...try Eclat Lanvin D'arpege and tell me what kind of emotion it evokes from you.

I used to dislike Black Aoud because of the band-aid smell and feared that it would repulse chicks. However, for some reason I no longer smell the "band-aid"iness and chicks seem to like it.

Even though I do get compliments, I can't say that i've had something like that happen, but I do hear about this happening occasionally, and thought it would be interesting to hear some of your stories.
