Talking Recommended Eau De Parfumes for Men?

I'm planning to buy and try Eau De Parfum for men. Any recommended Choice?

    Thanks!

If it's longevity that you're after, remember that men's woody EDTs often easily outlast very many women's floral EDPs.

The men's EDPs usually smell somewhat different from their EDT versions. Opium EDP is definitely a cold weather scent, whereas the EDT version is a more all round type scent. Both easily last longer than a standard working day.

I believe the Creed Milliseme line are all considered EDP strength (this does not mean though that they all have the greatest longevity):

    Bois du Portugal
    Erolfa
    Green Irish Tweed
    Green Valley
    Himilaya
    Milliseme Imperial
    Neroli Savage
    Original Santal
    Original Vetiver
    Royal Delight
    Royal Water
    Silver Mountain Water
    Tabarome Milliseme
    Virgin Island Water

If it's longevity you're after, EDP is no guarantee of longevity (although the received wisdom is that it should be).

The one fragrance that seems never to die is one I tried for the first time at the weekend, Paco Rabanne Black XS. Jeez, it was like paint. It took one bath, one shower and several other washings to fully disappear from my skin. I don't dislike the fragrance, it just outstayed its welcome!

    Thanks.

My best measure for longevity is how long it takes a scent to clear out of my jacket or jumper (since they don't go into the shower with me).

If it's longevity that you're after, the longest lasting scent by far is Joop Homme EDT, followed somewhat behind it by Annik Goutal's Sables. These can last 5 days in my jumpers.

Aramis doesn't quite last as long a long time, but pumps out lots more scent over three or four days.

Other good extra long lasting ones on me include L'Eau D'Issey, Eternity, Chrome, Lagerfeld Photo, Diesel Zero Plus, Boss 6, Opium EDP.

Before buying a scent I usually spray some on the back of my hand. If it's still there with some strength three hours later, it usually will last a full working day (about 8 hours or more) when sprayed under clothes.

Most of the purer citrus scents don't last a working day on me - I'm lucky to get 2 or 3 hours out of Eau Sauvage or YSL Pour Homme, 5 hours from Eau de Rochas. With the exception of D&G Masculine and Aqua di Portofino, I need woody-citrus scents to get lasting power with citrus (Chrome, Versace Green Jeans).

I also don't get much lasting power out of scents classified as woody-spicy at the PerfumeWorld site, they usually conk out after 5 or 6 hours.

But our skins are all a bit different, and there are people who will swear black and blue that the scents I claim are short lasting, they get a full day's wear out of.

Also beware niche scents. With the exception of MPG, Serge Lutens, a couple of Creeds, most of them are somewhat weak in the longevity department - the typical non citrus, non woody-spicy designer scent easily outlasts most of them.
    Cheers,
    Renato

I'll second Héritage EdP (Guerlain). Muted sillage, compared to the Eau de Toilette, but superior staying power (on me). Try Jicky EdP, too.

Anything by Montale Paris, especially the Aoud line.

Longevity is something all of the Bond No. 9 EdPs can boast. They'll easily last into the next day! It's easily my favorite line overall.

Oh yeah! The Montales are probably the MOST potent EdPs I've ever encountered. It's amazing.

If longevity is the main factor, then its hard to beat Joop and Cartier Santos Concentree.

An other one: Bandit EdP (marketed for women). I wear pure perfume too which is significantly different from EdP.

Longevity (not necessarily that I'm fond of them, but they last):

    Gendarme - 48+ hours

Michael Kors Michael for Men - 36+ hours

Hanae Mori H.M. - 36+ hours (and actually nice after the vanilla goes away)

Stay away from the Creeds if you want longevity..

CDG 2 and the Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille are my favorite Edp's right now
