Two that come to mind immediately are CDG Avignon and L'Artisan Timbuktu. I love them both.

I've tried a few different ones, and CdG's Avignon is the best by far in my opinion.

Heeley's Cardinal is very good too, probably a little easier to wear than Avignon.

First of all, I am a very big frankincense fan. Comme des Garçons Avignon and Bond No 9 Silver Factory have the strongest frankincense presence of those fragrances I have tried. Avignon (which I love) seems to be the more direct frankincense, but Silver Factory seems to be more well-rounded and less ... ecclesiastical. It is one of the Bond No 9 Andy Warhol collectibles, and you will pay a premium for the presence of Andy Warhol's name on the bottle. I love both of these fragrances.

arwen_elf is right. I forgot about Heeley Cardinal, which is another very good choice. I opted for Avignon over this, but it was very close for me. You should consider pulling samples of both of these from luckyscent.com.

I don't get a strong sense of frankincense from either L'Artisan Parfumeur Timbuktu or Dzongkha. Timbuktu (which I also love) is dominated by pepper, cardamom, and vetiver. It's very dry and some people consider it downright harsh. It's drydown is more palatable than its opening. Dzongkha gives me more of an impression of cardamom and leather. I have not yet tried Czech and Speake Frankincense & Myrrh, so I will defer to others on that. It seems to be an obvious one to sample.

@Astaroth : Actually, it's Dzonghka which is dominated by pepper, not Timbuktu. I've also tested Frankincense & Myrrh by C&S and I find it quite tame. It's nowhere as intense as one might think it would be..given its name.

I like Czech & Speake frankincense and myrrh. I do agree that it is not a heavy frankincense experience, but it is nice.
Ayala Moriel's Bois D'Hiver has a real frankincense "hit", and I like it a lot. I did a review of it.

Give Amouage Jubilation XXV a try. It's not a pure frankincense frag, but uses it exquisitely.

This one is a surprise to me, I'm just trying it today, off a sample vial.
    Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir.
Notes of pomegranate, plum and raspbery, with frankincense and patchouli.

I thought it would be sweet and fruity-berry. It is NOT. It is dry and aromatic, and the frankincense is prominent. It is an interesting scent.

I too get a strong pepper note in Timbuktu. My skin always tends to favor pepper in a scent though.

I haven't tried Dzonghka in a while, but I own Timbuktu and I catch a lot of pepper in the initial blast. I usually have to wait a little while until I can "handle" it. I'm probably going to Barney's in Beverly Hills sometime this afternoon, so I'll see if I can pick up a frankincense note in Dzonghka.

You'll be missing out if you don't try Comme des Garcons Avignon and Andy Tauer's Incense Extreme. I should also add one of my favorites which I don't own personally, but wish I did, Armani Prive Bois d'Encens.

I am going to have to check out this Fragonard scent. Poor Fragonard gets ignored around here and yet they have many very affordable scents! I have had several of their scents over the years but even I forget about them most of the time.

Well, Avignon is the definitive one. I'd also suggest Passage d'Enfer as a wonderful alternative choice, esp. if you don't want to literally smell like a Catholic church. I like Heeley Cardinal a lot in the top notes, but much less in the dry down. Jubilation XXV is really good, but costs a bazillion dollars. I love Dzonghka, but don't get frankincense from it - incense yes, but not frankincense. Profumum Olibanum is a great fragrance, as is the very similar Olivier Durbano Rock Crystal, but for pure frankincense, I'd go with the first two I mentioned.

    Olivier Durbano - Black Tourmaline
    Penhaligons - Racquets

In either case, your schnoz would have been summarily seduced by the ineffably talented perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour. Mwahahahahaha ....
