Happy to be starting the SoTD thread after a long time

Good morning. I feel much better today - thanks for the good vibes!

    I am wearing Keiko Mecheri's

    Loukhoum

My opinion is unchanged...it performs better in summer

Thank you everyone, for your kindness and wise words yesterday! *kiss* You are all absolutely right, in that academic marks do not necessarily judge the worth of your work. As I always have, I will continue to do what I love, experiment, and continue working hard! Can't be helped if someone who is marking my work has different tastes to me. Thank you again! You all put a smile on my face.

Wearing the yummy L de Lolita Lempicka with Bloom Vanilla Bean body butter. I haven't worn this in awhile, and had forgotten how lovely and comforting this scent is. Perfect for a visit to the dentist, even though I wasn't particularly nervous about it! I have to go back in a week to get a plate for when I sleep - because I grind my teeth. Oops

Dentist Tavorna, you are a brave woman. I always let my hand dangle beside the chair as a little reminder that he better not hurt me too much

Since summer seems to have changed into autumn (not complaining: I can't stand heat), it is time for a warm beauty:

    Theorema extrait.

 LIB. Glad to hear you feel good enough to enjoy Loukhoum, even though it is not Serge's

LadyInBlack, nice to read you're feeling better.
Tavorna, my daughter needed a nighttime bite plate for TMJ/teeth grinding and it works a treat. I'm sure it will help you, too. As regards your academic career, you are to be applauded as much for your excellent outlook as for your endeavors. Best to you!

Tavorna, I missed yesterday's thread about your academic woes, but I want to say I viewed your work and I think it is fabulous, smart and sexy.

Me, I have been wearing Attrape Coeur leading up to my Wedding, the day of, and the past couple of days, and I think it is making me too soft and glowy, soft and glowy does NOT mix/survive well in corporate hospital world...I feel like my heart is like a flower too easily trampled, the contrast of my dream weekend and the realities of work are too much ...
you basenotes lovies have been keeping me feeling the love.

today I don Chanel no. 19, beautiful, but it will shield me from the slings and arrows of life.
pardon me if I am sounding daft, still a bit starry eyed and loopy.

    onward HO!

Happy Wednesday everyone. Looks like the sick ward is emptying out a bit and everyone can get back to smelling mah-velous.
After Bois des Iles earlier this week I was craving more sandalwood and so I am wearing:

    Diptyque Tam Dao

This is the sandalwood I was looking for, for today. Very nice, very warm and soothing like floating on a sandalwood cloud.

Y'all smell so great this ayem! And so good to hear LIB's feeling better - Tavorna too (tee hee Riannon - had a friend who claimed he took his gun - excuse me - weapon with him to the dentist and laid it across his lap as he sat in the chair with these words "You don't hurt me - I don't hurt you".) And don't you just love the still-loopy bride!!??!!

Feelin' rull figgy so - to satisfy my dual Gemini nature - it's Premier Figuier on one side and Tesco Fig Almond and Cassis on the other. I yummy!!

Still basking in the glow of getting my wireless network functional.

Of course - I had to sacrifice my iPod to the technology gods to do so.
iPod + Ginger Ale = useless, yet stylish, hunk of plastic and metal and undrinkable ginger ale. Sigh........

    Liz Zorn's Misetu today.
Top is a light floral with a strong orange blossom honey note. The heart is a balsamic, woody scent. The base is almost Guerlainish.

She uses something in her base in most of her scents that doesn't work particularly well with my skin . She uses something different here. And the result is absolutely gorgeous!

Tavorna, sounds like you're back in the saddle - Go forth and be your wonderful and creative self in full confidence! Also, I have a night-guard for tooth-grinding, and it really helps. When I remember to wear it.

Tigs, isn't Onda phenomenal?!? I got my hands on a sample a little while ago and it went on my wishlist almost instantly. I think Dimples needs in on the Onda train, too.

Renee, CONGRATS/ BEST WISHES/ ALL GOOD THINGS!!! What a beautiful bride you are. Feel the love, feel the love, feel the love... Here on BN, at home, even in the stressful work environment - it's there. So happy for you.

Oh, right, SoTD. Following SMM's lead of yesterday, I'm wearing the gorgeous Chanel Bois des Iles.

I just say I won´t pay the bill if it hurts. Has worked so far, since my dentist is a very greedy man.

Crikey, so much gossip to catch up on from the last couple of weeks...

Sufficient to say I hope you are all well and happy and that weddings/college/work/bouts of illness are all going the right way. Big love to all.

I'm getting figgy with it, like my mate Tao. But I'm in Un Jardin en Mediterranee (trying to stay on holiday as loooong as possible!). It's working brilliantly on a warm and summery Swiss day.

Hugs. Peace. You know the drill.

(Speaking of drills, I like that idea Musse. My dentist had me circling the light bulbs last time I went to see her. She's a small woman but surprisingly strong and my molars still haven't settled back after she put fillings in them a month ago. Is it still supposed to be sore a month later?)

Cuir de Lancome. You know how you smell a fragrance for the first time, flash a scenario in association, and the two are forever bound? Can't explain why, but CdL makes me feel like being a puddy-tat curled up on the lap of a lady with dimples. I just want to close my eyes and purrrr while the nice-smelling lady pets my head. Contentment, not a care in the world.

You precious cuties are all so wise and clever and friendly. Good day to all!
