I don't know what I'm wearing today but it's by Borsari again. This stuff had a very significant change from top to heart notes. Top was very lemony/grapefruity with a tiny bit of green floral, heart is spicy/incense-y (the spicy smell I associate with my grandmother's apartment after she's been making curry). Interesting stuff.

I moved back to my Student Residency at Uni today. The house is a bit lonely with no one around just yet. Class starts tomorrow. Feeling a bit rotten with the beginnings of a cold.

I would have continued sampling, but they were all packed up and ready to travel back with me. So instead I wore a few quick sprays of Armani Mania.

What excellent advice. Takes your mind off it if nothing else.

I'm in Virgin Island Water again today after finally caving in and buying a bottle on Friday. My adored almost 4 years old daughter got big laughs when she saw me approaching the perfume counter with my purse in my hand and said: "Mummy, you've got enough perfume!" Which is true. But I've been on the verge of buying a bottle of VIW for over a year and I know I'll wear it.

Hope you're all having lovely lazy Sundays enjoying yourselves.

Vintage Dana Chantilly with a distinct retro feel and gobs of powdery patchouli. (Tinks,Tao and musse, I suppose this is after your tastes). It is strong too, so people in LA, OK and AR, beware!

I tested a sample of Zephyr by Neil Morris this morning and was immediately reminded of Zest bar soap. It's pleasant enough, but from the notes (and the name!), I was expecting something a little different.

    Top Notes: Tangerine, Papaya
Middle Notes: Honeysuckle, Casablanca Lily, White Tea
Base Notes: Sandalwood, Amber, Ocean Musk

Joining all the others having a lazy Sunday. My Daughters have been visiting my Brother since Wed. so I seem to have a lot of free time on my hands I can barely stand the guilt of idle time. I have had at least one child and constant companionship since I was 18 years old......I will have to get another job when my last one is in college in 4 years. Today I am wearing Hermes Eau de Merveilles and I am heading outside to work on and lounge by the pool for a while ( I have the work part down it's the lounging that I have trouble with).

    Hugs to you Chaya!

Hope everyone else has a lovely Sunday!

In other news: I went for Jasmin 17 by Le Labo. Smells like powdery jasmine soap today; very good for the sort of weather we're having (hot, but muggy, like it should be thundery soon).

Chaya, Bubbeleh - come to Mommy. Time off from taking care of others and let yourself be taken care of.

Coco - bet we're the only one here with Nikos Sculpture! I love it - it's so modest and unassuming.

Terry - you must come further south for a lesson in how to R-E-L-A-X!!
Ines - Welcome home!! We missed you.

P.S. Twolf - funny - I remember Chantilly as being more citrus-y and sandalwood-y. Goes to show you!!

My lilies smell so heavenly in the garden just now and they inspired me to wear beautiful D&G Feminine for daytime. I think it is so unique and definitely underrated. Neil Morris Gotham for evening, the words 'Holy' and 'Grail' seem to be entering my mind the more I wear this. I hope you will understand when I say that I've never worn a fragrance which just 'fits' as well as this one. Can't describe it more eloquently I'm afraid!

Bronze Goddess for a day of exploring the neighbourhood with DH2B and the dog (we've been here a year and finally took a walk in the other direction), then Thai food at a restaurant we discovered on our travels, and a dip in the public pool in the early evening. Daiquiris enjoyed on what we like to call Balcony Bay completed the day. I'm getting a lot of play out of this EL lovely and am happy to report that the shortages experienced elsewhere don't exist here; I saw many bottles at the Bay the other day.

Today I wore (from a sample):

    Parfumerie Generale Cuir d'Iris

Very nice, not quite completely clean leather with a bit of an animal cage smell at the start (or wet bandage, depending on your perspective). It is not as "manure like" as Dzing! Later in the development, it has the same sweet-dry note I smelled when I wore PG L'Oiseau de Nuit, but for Cd'I, it was more in the mid/base rather than top/mid in L'OdN. Longevity was much better--pretty much lasted all day, and the remaining skin-scent is pretty much the same as L'OdN.

Hope everybody had a good day!
