    Jean Pascal Pour Homme
    by Jean Pascal

suravionline.com: “This fragrance begins with a delicate mixture of bergamot, pineapple
and herbal essences. In the body of the fragrance we find lavender essences
that are softly mixed with jasmine. Musk, wood, amber and moss essences
bring coolness, giving this fragrance an extraordinary richness and personality.”

I think of it as a fruity leather. This sleeper is ranked 12th in my wardrobe.
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, and sorry I could not travel both and be one traveler, long I stood and looked down one as far as I could to where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, ...... I shall be telling this with a sigh somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -- I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference. - Robert Frost

    Dolce & Gabbana
    D & G pour Homme
    (1994)
Top Notes: Bergamot, Mandarin, Orange, Neroli, Tarragon, Lemon
Middle Notes: Natural Lavender, Clary Sage, Tarragon, Coriander, Cinnamon, Pepper, Violet
Base Notes: Sandalwood, Cedarwood, Tonka bean, Musk, Tobacco, Iris, Coumarin
A lot is going on in this one, and while it's very nice, maybe not everything fits. Is this a fougère or an oriental? I can't quite decide; perhaps it's trying to be both. I agree that this uses pretty good ingredients for a designer scent from a smaller house, and while it smells decent, I can't really say I think it's well constructed. The balance seems to be a bit off on the sweet side, and while it packs a good bit of sillage at first, the initial impression breaks down fairly soon and becomes a bit muddy. This is not a bad scent as these things go; it's just that it seems to hold some promise and then doesn't fully meet the expectation. I'll have to go for a neutral on this, although it's fully good enough to wear for everyday work or such routine events.

    Tommy Hilfiger Cologne Spray

Hate it, but have to wear it. I bought it about three years ago just because of the free TH flight bag that was coming with it. That was not the time when I had a passion for perfumes. The frag is absolutely plain and boring, but i use that bag all the time though

On a slow-moving Tuesday for me I'm wearing another new buy:

    Carthusia Numero Uno

This starts with a citrus/herbal top which has transitioned to a woody musky base, a really dark counterpoint to the bright beginning.

I have begun a Neil Morris adventure, having received yesterday a tester packet that I had ordered. Today I am wearing Posh, which, although Angel-like, does not punch you in the face. It gently and lovingly settles into the skin. I do like it and am sorely tempted, but I must wait until I have tested all.
