Les Nuits, and then Sables
I really think we need an Annick Goutal poll here. What is your number 1 favorite?
Are you actually creating a poll or just asking us to reply?
Mine is Sables.

Sables hands down.
Eau d' Hadrien Absolu and Sables
Sables, love it!
Les Nuits d'Hadrien
None - I keep trying but I just cannot connect favorably with this house.
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, and sorry I could not travel both and be one traveler, long I stood and looked down one as far as I could to where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, ...... I shall be telling this with a sigh somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -- I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference. - Robert Frost
They are all so good it's hard to decide but I agree, Nuits d'Hadrien and Sables. It's pure olfactory artwork!

Goutal's Vetiver is outstanding.
I have only tried Vetiver and Eau d'Hadrien. Vetiver is a mess (I am not a fan of the iodine facet of this root), but EdH is a nice sharp citrus.
Easy .... Sables..
.................................................. ...................I'm gonna memorize your name.. and then i'm gonna throw my head away!!........:bounce:.............
Being a lover of the unusual and offbeat, I have a preference for Mandragore (not just the scent, but also because of the mystery and folklore of mandrake root). My second choice is Duel.
Remember the first stanza of John Donne's poem "Song":
Go and catch a falling star,
Get with child a mandrake root,
Tell me where all past years are,
Or who cleft the Devil's foot,
Teach me to hear mermaids singing,
Or to keep off envy's stinging,
Serves to advance an honest mind.

Yr good bud,
"Why spend life seeking that which does not satisfy? Why remain a slave, when freedom waits? Let your life shine; illumine the world with your truth!"
Fiat justitia ruat cælum.
Let justice be done, even if the sky should fall.
— Lucius Calpurnius Piso Caesoninus
Qui nihil potest sperare, desperet nihil.
Let him who can hope for nothing despair of nothing.
Male irato ferrum committitur.
It is an evil thing to arm an angry man.
I struggled to find a Goutal scent to like for a while.
Then, a couple months ago, I tested Eau d'Hadrien and completely 'got' it. I am not in the market for a new citrus scent yet, but if I can get my hands on some EdH cheap, I would love to give it some more full wearings. I expected it to be too light and ethereal (like Eau Savage or Citron Citron) but I was pleasantly surprised to find it out it had real depth.
Additionally - last night I tried Eau de Fier for the first time (technically this is one of the woman's scents I think...) and it is strangely smoky with an almost burnt, tar prominent drydown. Fans of Burning Leaves by CBIHP or Tea (Series 1: Leaves) by Comme des Garcons should try this one!

I'm wearing my favorite today: Les Nuits d'Hadrien.
Enscens Flamboyant / Sables
Seek not the favor of the multitude; it is seldom got by honest and lawful means. But seek the testimony of few; and number not voices, but weigh them. - Immanuel Kant
2. Eau d'Hadrien
3. Eau du Sud
Don't panic. Just stay calm, and reload....
Sables. For some reason vintage Tabarome reminds me of this scent, only the vint. Tab is milder to me..
Eau d'Hadrien is a masterpiece. It's my favorite.
My favorite houses are Guerlain and Goutal.
Hadrien is AG's masterpiece, and while, the nights are OK, the days were made for love.
Her Vetiver is the sea and only, the sea.
Heure Exquise is the most complicated boudoir fragrance I know, especially when it's worn by a man.
Sables is responsible for as many men's niche copies as Jicky.
And Gardenia Passion is the best waxy white flower available.
Shall I go on?

I love Eau d'Hadrien. I could bathe in it. It smells so nice and clean and fresh. Nothing comes close to it.
