Here are some suggestions:
Thread: What smells "gothic" to you??
What fragrances do you feel are "gothic"..whatever that may mean to you??
Here are some suggestions:
Aromatics Elixir and The Body Shop's Japanese Musk. It's the herbal, autumny, earthy smell that causes this association, I think. Although intensely floral scents also qualify--Boudoir for example.
Perfumer's Workshop Tea Rose smells gothic to me. It's not a bright, sunny rose in my mind, rather more of a Victorian graveyard scent. I don't know why it hits me that way. Mitsouko is also a bit gothic - it has a haunting/haunted quality.
messe di minuit - high mass in a big gothic church
voleur de roses - dried roses and black leather
Everyone is entitled to his own opinions, but not his own facts. Daniel Moynihan
3/4 of the BPAL catalogue! LOL! Love em!
~Grenouille knew for certain that unless he possesed this scent, his life would have no meaning.~
Perfume: The Story of a Murderer
Regina Harris' line smells very gothic to me. Or anything with smoke and patchouli
Voleur de Rose. CDG Avignon -- exactly like an old cathedral. Incense Extreme (Tauer). Most patchoulis.

Musings and random thoughts about the genie in the bottle
MPG's Centaure for a different take on gothic. It's cold to the bone in the opening. Sure, there's lavender up front and that's not exactly gothic, but there's (I swear) wormwood in there.. and how gothic is absinthe? Also, as it dries down, it becomes a dark and brooding smokey jasmine and woods with a cool mint still lurking in the background. Cold and a bit dissociative, I'd say it's gothic.
Interesting how we preceive Gothic..
I think Midnight Poison is gothic...seems Dark to me..Voleur de Roses...Black Cashmere which I love seems gothic to me..What others?
I only feel like wearing Bandit at night, so it's rather a dark fragrance for me.
Definitely CdG Avignon and Nu also seems Gothic. All those dry white flowers and the incense. Like being Esmeralda in Notre Dame.
Yes, all of these suggestions plus the aforementioned thread.
Diptyque Opone - roses and incense. Perhaps Goth rather than gothic: I gave it to a Goth girl once and her best friend told her that she smelled "like a witch."

"When he shook hands with me my nostrils were assailed by all the perfumes of Arabia."
- W. Somerset Maugham
Almost anything from this website I would consider to be "gothic"
CdG Avignon, in the Incense line. All the others are austere/dry, Avignon is rich, slightly sweet with vanilla. Gothic/goth is how it seems to me... it is my least favorite of the line.
"The force that through the green fuse drives the flower // drives my green age..." Dylan Thomas
I agree with Avignon, Messe de Minuit and Czech & Speake 88. I would add Strange Invisible Perfumes Black Rosette, and maybe L'Arte di Gucci (a sort of vampy, red-lipped hat-with-net-brimmed Gothic, if that is allowable). Rosines Poussiere de Rose is "something lurking at the back of the wardrobe covered in dust", which is another take on Gothic maybe, and OJ Woman is just "pretty damn scary" Gothic.
OJ Woman??By who??Ecuse my ignorance!
Ormond Jayne (not sure about the spelling)
What about Monk or Salvador Dali PH.
Voleur de Roses
Salvador Dali pour Homme
Love all of them!

Hi & welcome, Ky Goth - some of the suggestions in this thread may be out of production now - it's what's called a 'zombie' thread, which seems appropriate in this instance
John Galliano with incense, rose, patchouli
Avignon for me also has that Gothic vibe.
Remember that while it is perfectly acceptable to criticize the content of a post - criticizing the poster is not.
Mean spirited, nasty, snide, sarcastic, hateful, and rude individuals don't warrant or deserve other individuals' acknowledgement or respect.
Feminite du Bois, maybe.
A woman without perfume is like a flower without a scent.
Mainly dark florals in my opinion, along the lines of (but not limited to): TF Black Orchid, Bvlgari Jasmin Noir, Esencia Loewe, Ungaro II.
Diptyque L'Ombre Dans L'Eau.

Breath of God smells ironically gothic to me.
In addition to all the excellent suggestions I'll add Encens et lavande by Serge Lutens
Ubar for women.
Incense smells gothic to me. Church-y incense.
Amouage Memoir Woman
Let us share each precious moment and enjoy the ones we love for each day is a new beginning and a blessing from above.
Le Dix, slightly.
I like Memoir Woman, I forgot about that one.
incense oud by Killian
YSL Nu EDP, Donna Karan Black Cashmere, Armani Prive Bois d'Encens
I would say Dior's Hypnotic Poison smells very gothic. Many modern patchouli fragrances give me that gothic vibe. On some people Lolita Lempicka can seem gothic.
Lady Vengeance by Juliet Has a Gun - dark rose, patchouli and vanilla.
Penhaligon's Endymion, though I might just be saying that from association - used to wear it in high school when I was into gothic stuff.
Edit: disregard that, I thought I was in the men's forum.

Generally dark roses with more wine- like vibe ,and patchouli and incense .
For me, Gothic is an earthy smell, like Noir Patchouli.
“Perfume is like cocktails without the hangover, like chocolate without the calories, like an affair without tears, like a vacation from which you never have to come back.”
― Marian Bendeth“
Serge Lutens Santal Majascule. It's really about the wine-like roses more than the sandalwood for me, with some bittersweet cacao and musk. As one reviewer put it, this is the scent for a Lady vampire.
With "gothic" I associate grumpy teenage girls dressed in black listening to some melodramatic music. Not the kind of darkness that I like, "gothic" is just too romantic for me.
When it comes to perfumes probably everything that has rose in it and is somewhat dark qualifies as "gothic". My suggestion is INCENSE ROSE by Andy Tauer, a high-quality incense-scent with a dry rose.

1. Dia Man
3. Skin Graft
6. Hindu Kush
NK Incense is extremely gothic IMO, probably the most gothic I've tried to date. Also, CdG Avignon and Les Liquides Imaginaires Sancti.
Pure and mysterious, this otherworldly blend of flowers, aloe and incense evokes cool stone walls, grand vaulted ceilings and flickering candles. Subtle and lingering, this darkly beautiful fragrance draws you in and holds you like an incantation. Hypnotic, seductive, unique.
Caron Nuit de Noel
Dans La Nuit Vers Le Jour Sans Adieu Je Reviens Vers Toi.
