Thumbs up Geir By Geir Ness

Geir has one of the "coolest" opening to mid notes that i have come across. i have always wondered if there was a classier version of Old Spice, well yes, there is (imho) and i think i found mine. Smells so "powdery fresh in a very old spice way"(strangely it reminded me of Creed's Himalaya too)...You enter a car and the whole car lights up with it's freshness... you go for a date and the her eyes work like hands on ya!!! it smells of youth, luxury and playful attitude. Lovely stuff! Spritz away!!

The opening to mid notes remind me of a powdery version of Old Spice/Himalaya..cool mountain breeze which carry mild woody notes with the hint of pepper, lavender and spices. The scent on whole has a very talcum powder kind of powdery effect and at the same time one could feel the wet nature of this scent..somewhere between the midnotes-basenotes this scent morphs into another character altogether..something like gunpowder/steel/metallic accord on a base of somethin which smells very close to Boss selections. i would buy this over and over for it's there to please. two thumbs up!

p.s. anyone who is lookin to swap or sell this one..pls PM me...

Geir Ness is one of the best modern fresh scents besides M7 Fresh and Carthusia Uomo IMO. I just wished it lasted a bit longer than it does on my skin (even though its an EDP).

I love the scent and the slogan "THE POWER OF NORWAY!"

    I don't particulary like it.

It's trying to be too much. First it starts out fresh, then there are some spices taking over, and it ends with some sandalwood. It's all very chaotic. Very schizophrenic.

I love it, and you don't have to worry as much about applying too much of it as you do with other, heavier fragrances. It's really a can't-lose scent. My only issue with it is that my atomizer nozzle seems to leak a bit. I'm wondering if other buyers have had this problem too.

I find it smooth, understated and refreshing. I enjoy it in both warm and cold weather also. And Astaroth my Geir spray nozzle works fine.

Mine has a problem too. But it doesn't leak, it's just not in a good condition. When I depress it, it gets stuck a bit and I have to add more power to my finger to get to the bottom. It's also very misty, which is not good for decanting. I think I prefer Eau de Cartier Concentree.

I bought this after reading some raving reviews about it here. Apparently it is a compliment getter for a lot of people who love it. Unfortunately it didnt work quite like that for me. Its never gotten me one comment. Besides the longevity isnt that great either. This, despite the fact that its an EDP.

As for the sprayer, if you find older threads on Geir Ness you'd come across a few posts where various other members have complained of its leaky sprayer.

It's one of the nicest fresh perfumes I've tried. It gives my girlfriend a headache, though, because of the loud spices in the heart. Killer projection. I like it but I wouldn't buy it.
