Iris...... fallen madly in love with this one to the point where a restraining order might be taken out against me.....

Like bront82 and everso, my favorite note is leather - I prefer Russian 'birch tar' notes over Spanish and suede notes, but all leather notes are good by me. If leather is joined by oakmoss, so much the better!

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, and sorry I could not travel both and be one traveler, long I stood and looked down one as far as I could to where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, ...... I shall be telling this with a sigh somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -- I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference. - Robert Frost
uuuuum, not easy but i think its vanilla.so much variety and combineable with sooo many toher notes.

Torn between iris root (Iris Silver Mist) and dry rose (Une Rose, Rose 31). I'll go with the rose note since I just gave Une Rose to a friend of mine and I'm wearing Rose 31 myself today.
Looking to swap/buy/receive for free () the following samples/decants:
Indult Tihota & Rêve en Cuir
Chant d'Aromes extrait
Vetiver pour Elle (5ml decant)
Versace The Dreamer 50ml (1.7oz) BNIB
"The Sunshine bores the daylights outta me!"
Rose, lily of the valley, iris flower, honey, balsamic resins (amber), frankincense, Villoresi's herbs and spices cellar, hey, leather ....
Impossible to concentrate on one tune, but if I was locked away for lifetime with one smell only: oudh!

No Clue but ot has to be somewhere in the
I say that but like so many different lighter and stronger scents
"As you walk down the fairway of life you must smell the roses, for you only get to play one round."
My favourite note is probably vetiver.
Mens omnia vincit
Vétiver for sure.
Today it would be sandalwood, tobacco, musk.
Lemon/Lime, Nutmeg, Sandalwood, Rose (as in Hammam Bouquet).
Mango. Or grapefruit. Depending on the usage, of course.
One? Neroli, I guess.
Quite obvious, despite forays into florals like neroli and rose, and teas and such, that BASENOTES rule over here! LOL. Grant picked a good 'un for this site, a good name indeed ;-)
Now, from a ladies POV: years ago I got some Ferula sumbul EO from India. Called Black Musk. Had a musk/plastic scent. Drove me wild - just a drop rubbed into my guy's chest hair, and he wasn't safe!
I have been trying to find some ever since - it's my Holy Grail. I just found a source of the plant part, very, very pricey, and I'm going to try to buy them (from Bulgaria, a ND over there has them) and distill them myself. Wish me luck!

Vanilla all the way.
Looking for a sample of Gucci Envy Me.
Top: mandarin, lemon, lavender
Middle: neroli, rose, jasmin, lavender
Base: Moss, vanilla, santulum album
If I had to choose one oil: santalum album or good oud
Vetiver is my favorite. Tea and musk are also high on my list.
First of all I have to get to know how all the single notes smell like! How do you know how patchouli or vetyver smells like? I don't know about amber, civet, casteurum, ambergris.. I have parfums which contain the same notes but they differ of course from each other so there is no chance for me to make out any notes but cinnamon, vanilla, coffee...I would have to smell the notes seperately somehow. How do u know how everything smells???
I enjoy Bergamot very much.
