    Default Formal Fragrance

Hi, I was just wondering what everyone's favorite formal fragrance was. Thanks.

I kept some vintage parfum of Tabac Blond for formal occasions, but I finished that off and the recent decant I bought off TPC smells crummy. I've also used Amouage Silver Cologne.

Currently, I'd probably go with Rive Gauche for a semi-formal event and Black Aoud, Moss Breches and possibly Santal Noble for formal events.

I was going to mention Dior Homme but thought it might be a bit too sensual to classify as a formal scent. Personally, I don't have a problem wearing it in formal settings. It's a masterful concoction.

With black tie I like a very light application of L'artisan's Tubereuse. It just works for me somehow.

I'll compose my thoughts on formal fragrances and post later, but I just have to tell Mattybumpkin that he made my day!

I can't tell you how much I have missed your frequent recommendations of Boucheron PH. A month or so ago, I actually had to buy it because every time I walked past it in a store I felt you prodding me!

Glad to see you (and Boucheron PH) on the boards!

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, and sorry I could not travel both and be one traveler, long I stood and looked down one as far as I could to where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, ...... I shall be telling this with a sigh somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -- I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference. - Robert Frost

I'm not very often in need for "formal" fragrances. But when there's some serious meeting I wear either Bvlgari pour Homme (Bvlgari) or Vétiver Extraordinaire (Frédéric Malle).
