Question Are there any scents that would somewhat match this one?

Hi. I came up with a scent (just the idea of it) a while ago, and I've been trying to find a scent which even slightly resembles it, because I seriously want to smell like this all the time. Any ideas of any scents which would be somewhat in this category?:

    "Red Vintage"

    Bergamot
    Lemon Peel
    Vetiver Bourbon
    Subtle Maraschino Cherry
    Neroli
    Rose
    Red Carnation
Red Cinnamon (almost candied, not harsh or sharp)
    A hint of Cardamon
    Sandalwood
    Cedar
    Cherrywood
    Mahogany
    Ebony
    Amber
    Labdanum
    Tonka
    Oakmoss
    Russian Leather
    Musk
    Suede

Many of the notes you describe might be in Esencia Loewe. But Esencia would lack the "red" qualities of cinnamon & cherry. Those you might find in Carlo Corinto. Wear the two together?

    Yikes. Don't light a match...

You need to give us some idea of the fragrance experience, not the notes. Some frags have over 300 notes, but you wouldn't be able to smell all of them, because it's about the blend, not the individual notes. However, if you want a powerful and complex experience, Ambre Russe is something you should sample. Why don't you look at the BN reviews of it and let us know if that sounds good to you.

Ok, first compress the list a little:

    Woods: Cedar, Cherrywood, Mahogany, Ebony

Make an Amber accord: Labdanum, Tonka

Combine the Leathers, spices and citrus each as its own group:
    Leather: Russian Leather, Suede
    Spice: Red Cinnamon, Cardamom
    Citrus: Bergamot, Lemon Peel

    Eliminate the Neroli

    And what you have is:
    Aromatic Citrus
    Carnation
    Rose
    Marischino Cherry
    Oakmoss
    Vetiver Bourbon
    Spices
    Leather
    Sandalwood and Woods
    Amber
    Musk

This is a boozy Chypre. Shisheido Feminite du Bois.

Tabacco Toscano by Santa Maria Novella - "A fresh woody and spicy fragrance with topnotes of bergamot and jasmine on a base of Tuscan tobacco leaves and birch leaves. The undertone of citrus, musk vanilla and burnt malt reveals a warm and comfortable sensation. An elegant and distinguished fragrance." (as described by Lianne Tio Parfums).
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, and sorry I could not travel both and be one traveler, long I stood and looked down one as far as I could to where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, ...... I shall be telling this with a sigh somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -- I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference. - Robert Frost
