    Default Cheapie blind buy

I am going to blind buy one of these fragrance and would like the help of BN to help me choose which one. The choices are:

Aquolina - Blue Sugar for Men (100ml)
Burberry - Weekend for Men (100ml)
Bvlgari - Aqva for Men (30ml)
    Versace - Blue Jeans (75ml)
    Joop - Jump (100ml)
Armani - Remix for Him (30ml)
    Givenchy - Pi (30ml)
    Jacamo de Jacamo (100ml)
Jacomo de Jacomo Deep Blue (100ml)
Lacoste - Style In Play (50ml)

The main thing I want to avoid is poor projection/sillage. I like fresh/sweet fragrances (my last purchase was Rochas Man which I love). I am not a fan of buying smaller size bottles but will consider it for the best fragrance.

    why must it be blind?

Don't know about how it would suit the "fresh" part of the equation but if sweet is your thing then by all means join the Blue Sugar fan club. There might be an obscure bottle of a bay rum barbershop splash made with pure cane sugar infused with honey and real bits of gummi bear that might, and it's a small might, be sweeter. But I doubt it.

It doesn't have to be blind but I have a small amount of money I'm not bothered about so I will be using it to purchase a cheap fragrance.

    I don't usually blind buy.

If it helps, I also own JOOP! Homme and I love it.

Out of those, I'd say Pi. I have Weekend that I don't use if you're interested in it...

For the sweetness factor, I would go for Pi, but out of your entire list I would go for Bvlgari Aqua.

    Versace Blur Jeans.

People hate on it but it's one of those masculine fragrances that you'd expect Indiana Jones might wear. Not sweet though but smells good.

Actually, I forgot to mention, I have smelled Versace Blue Jeans before and I liked it.

I'll check the thread later, scent with most votes wins.

    Joop Jump!

Jump is a nice fragrance. It's basically a sweeter version of Nightflight. Sillage, projection, and longevity is better than average and to my nose it smells like a cross between Allure Homme Sport and Bleu de Chanel.

Sorry guys, I've changed my mind.

Just watched a few reviews for JOOP! Nightflight and I want to get that, it seems like that's exactly what I'm looking for (big size, projection, sillage, longevity seem to be good, fresh etc). I can get a 125ml bottle. My only worry is if it's similar to Versace Dreamer as I already have two 100ml of that.

I'd go for Blue Sugar for a sweet gourmand (I actually prefer it to Angel Men, personally). For a fresh, clean scent, I'd skip Joop Jump and get Joop Nightflight. (by far, my favorite scent from Joop).

The others are ok, except for Jacomo de Jacomo. Man, I hate that original scent of theirs (a medicinal clove bomb that is very "old man" smelling).

Bumping to say I bought a 125ml Le Male EDT instead. Sorry guys.

I remember last time I made a similar thread I was stuck between Le Male and Rochas Man and went for the latter.

Good man. Le Male is MUCH better than all of those. But had you gone for one, based on your love of Rochas man, I would have advised you to go for blue sugar.

    Cheers mate.

I've actually smelled Le Male before but it was a long time ago, can remember it being minty though.

As long as it's a projection beast I'll be happy.

    Yeah.

You can go to just about any large department store and sample all of these.

My advice to the original poster would be to sample them and decide what he likes.

If you read the thread, I've already answered that question. Not being mean or anything just saying in case you didn't see it.

And because of health/injuries I actually can't go to any large department store.

    Got Le Male today.

It's very strange. Smells kinda plastic-y to be honest. I don't think it's a projection beast either but my mum said she could definitely smell it from a distance.

Seems quite a linear fragrance too, not much difference that I can notice between the opening and drydown.
