VISA, VISA & more VISA today edp & parfum.
It's not fruity on me at all (which is a good thing) just deep & delicious. If I lived long ago in Egypt, I'd have it made into one of those wax cones & wear it regally upon my head. It would melt slowly & I would look silly but yea g*ds, I would smell divine!

Wearing PdE Osmanthus Interdite this am to the grocery store and gym.......maybe SL Cuir Mauresque later on this BEAUTIFUL fall day in Tennessee. If you have never seen fall in East Tennessee you are missing out, amazing views of the Smokey Mountains from where I live. The trees are just slightly starting to change....beautiful.

I am wearing an unusual mix of Annick Goutal and Etat Libre d'Orange

    Grand Amour + Divin'Enfant

Since Grand'Enfant doesn't sound good at all , I'll call it Amour Divin. Muuuuuch better!

Am entertaining an itinerant bug which got me sent home from work and which is responsible for my late start today. (snivel snivel)

THANKFULLY a sample of La Prairie's Silver Rain from the irrepressible Dmitri has saved my bacon and I am luxuriating in crisp apples and sweet berries and gardenias and tuberose and...and....and....

Ah, so close to being scent twins today! I was all decided on Thé Rouge, when on the last moment I changed to Hiris on a whim. Hiris works nicely in crisp weather as well, as it turns out.

Dora, thanks for the l'eau de parfum #2 Spiritus by Miller et Bertaux, I am testing it today and it is delightful and somewhat abstract. I was scratching my head for words to describe it. It is definately unusual and I would have mistakenly think it is by Comme de Garcons.
I tried Gucci by Gucci again after lunch. I like the bottle, but thats probably it.

Sending super-power vibes to Taolady. What d'ya say I swing by to pick you up, and we'll sit outside of tdi's house drinking hot toddies and watching the leaves change?

Schizo Chanel today: Bois des Iles on one arm, Bel Respiro on the other. Lushsoup's probably tired of seeing me wink at her

Wordbird, Jolie Madame came out quite sour on me, too. Then it turned into the scent of pot. Actually, a lot of "green" notes, especially in chypres, do that to me. I guess we can be cretins together.

Taolady, sending you healing vibes from California!

Speaking of Taolady, I'm trying Creed Vanisia on one arm. This is a bit schizophrenic on me--one moment I get the best pipe tobacco note ever, then I get something sour. I'm waiting for it to settle down.

On the other arm is Romeo Gigli. Zzzzzzzzzzz, at least compared to the Vanisia.

I'm in Pleasures Delight again. I think for October I will wear my frags for three days in a row at least. This will give me a chance to enjoy them for longer than usual. I'm loving Pleasures Delight even more now as it has been deliciously caramelly the past few days. During our so-called 'summertime' PD was more fruity and sparkling. I love that autumn has altered my perception of this fragrance.

Lostmarch Lann Ael being tested on left wrist, Puro Lino on the right. The former is a disappointment (I had my hopes up) and the latter is gorgeous.

Btw, to all those I owed samples to, they went out, marked as gifts, so hopefully no customs worries!

I've obviously been bitten by a major nostalgia-bug, but today I simply had to cover myself in the great 80s soapy oriental, Byzance by Rochas. The opening is pure soap; then you get to the floral/oriental part, few hours in, the scent persists as an ambery, soft and slightly sweet skin scent. I re-sprayed twice (!) during the day because I just couldn't get enough. This takes me right back to when I was a teenager and wore hoop earrings, bleached denim dungarees and all the other ridiculous horrors from the era. It's a peculiar scent - it's almost amusing in its audacity and yet somehow, it hangs together perfectly, doesn't apologise for itself and its journey is enchanting and pleasurable to follow and participate in. This works well on my turns-everything-sweet-skin, but on someone with other tendencies it might turn too sharp. Still, if you ever see this anywhere, give it a whirl.
