An Omega Seamaster is a real classic that gets my vote. Breitling has a tendency to feel a bit "eurotrashy", they always manage to look too busy or blingy somehow.

And CanwllCorfe, that Tokyo flash watch is really cool! Not my style, but very nice.

Perpetual Calendar, Solar Power, Minute repeater function (fun to talk about & demonstrate) in a reasonably cheap watch. I love this watch.

If money were no option, Tag Heuer and Omega would be on the top of my list

I have around 10 watches: Fossils, Kennth Coles and 1 Seiko. I am not crazy about the luxury watched. For me a watch has to be functional, to my tastes and affordable. My favorite one is Fossil watch and I wear it about 97% of the time.

Man, did I get a deal today. My Dillard's had a handful of Zodiac watches, which normally retail for around $295 at Nordstrom and other stores. I had never seen Zodiacs at Dillard's before.

I picked up a 43MM blue faced chronograph for just $95! Really sharp and expensive looking. After all the stress I have dealt with at work lately, this is a nice little reward...that and the CK Contradiction that I picked up last night!

BTW, the model is the Desert Falcon, blue and steel. Good quality for the price!

I love some of the Ball watches, especially the ones which look very classic and no-nonsense, with very puristic dials and leather straps.
I also own some of watches by the following brands, being something of a (very small-scale) collector: Doxa, Tissot, Rodania, Lorus, Appella, a vintage Milus wristwatch from the 1930's, Festina, Activa, Romanson, Pierre Bonnet, Pierre Cardin and Meister Anker.

My future wish list (although quite unrealistic from a certain point onwards) includes:

Further Tissot (especially within the T-Classic and T-Trend series)
Longines Evidenza and Longines Dolce Vita
    several Frederique Constant
    Poljot Buran limited edition
    Vintage Poljot aviator watches
    some Sinn chronographs
    Ebel Brasilia
several Tag Heuer and Omega basic automatic models, clean-cut, preferably with leather straps and with no major complications

and now, for the dream-like part:

Roger Dubuis Much More and Golden Square
    Franck Muller Master square
almost anything within the Marine Collection by Ulysse Nardin
anything within the Marine and Tradition series of Breguet
    Vacheron Constatin Malte and Toledo
    Piaget Black Tie Emperador
    Zenith Chronomaster
    A. Lange & Soehne Cabaret and Datograph Perpetual
Audemars Piguet: Edward Piguet and Jules Audemars ranges
    Chopard Classique Homme
    Breitling for Bentley
Jaeger le Coultre Reverso Sun-Moon or Grande Date

    (aaaahhh... dreaming again)

I'm really torn on the IWC vs. Omega for the "everyday" watch.. I think they're both spectacular watches and I'd save money buying the Omega, but I'd lose the prestige and uniqueness of the IWC.

Not that everybody has an Omega, but IWC is much more special and a bit more substantial in terms of bulk/weight.

PS - Finsfan - gorgeous choices. You can't go wrong with a Rolex, no matter what people say.

I bought the Breitling Colt Auto II. It's a beaut and perfect at 41MM for work or casual. Not so ostentatious. The blue face is gorgeous. I've worn it the last 3 days. The Pilot bracelet is really suave!

I'm saving up for the Omega Speedmaster. Black or blue will be the choice...

SO and I both have TAGs, he got me mine for my 30th b-day and almost 14 years later it's still going strong. He got his around the same time, but has a much better story- quite pro-TAG. We were up at a family members cottage and SO was wakeboarding with friends- and did not take off his watch. But, he did realize at the end of the day that he'd lost it......2 weeks later his aunt had friends up to the cottage that were into SCUBA and, yes, they found his watch on the bottom of the lake, still ticking.

Lately my favourite watch is a "vintage" (are the 80s vintage? sigh) Cartier Panthere. Always loved that style. Wish I liked the Cartier Panthere perfume to go with....but no.

I just love your Tag Hauer ' still ticking in a lake ' story ! That about sums it up for Tags. Omega apparently does not keep good time though they are quite pretty . I love your Cartier - absolutely classic !

Thanks. I won 1, 2, 6, 8 and 9 on eBay all for only $19.00+ shipped. All of them had dead batteries and I replaced them. I am thinking about buying an Invicta Diver watch for around $70.00

I love the comments I get on it. They usually consist of "what is that?" or "are you from the future?" haha! I just can't get into the conventional ones they're too simple for me. It's weird to read but I once I thought of them, like I said, as more of an accessory, I didn't mind.
How do you know what time it shows? Do you count it by the lit dots?

    This one is my favorite.

I have a lot of fun with this one and it's very useful as a alarm-clock.

    I rarely wear this one.

I rarely wear this one because it's too small for le goût du jour. Cartier. yes. but don't expect the good quality from must de Cartier collection.

I wear a watch everyday but I rather look at the time from the clock on my mobile phone.
