    Default Vintage Patchouli

I had the pleasure of smelling some of Andrea Butje's imported vintage patchouli today. The aroma was definitely nothing like fresh essential oil. It's sweetened and it's absolutely delicious. Normally I'm not a big fan of patchouli.

Considering its aged 15 years I thought it would be very expensive, but the price feels super reasonable to me. That being said, I am certainly no industry professional.

Here's a link for those who might be interested:

I have found older patchouli gets this smell, gosh i can taste it in my mouth right now, it's dirty like rotting wood & much more bitter then before.
I would be very interested in smelling what you posted about.
Hi there, I really want Muscs Koublai Khan, Le Beige de Chanel, The Unicorn Spell, original Samsara. Will you contact me if you can send me a decant or bottle or those or anything on my wishlist? Trade, buy, whatever. I have 100% positive Ebay feedback & bottles that are not yet listed on Basenotes. =)

It definitely didn't smell musty to me. I wish I had a better vocabulary for aromas! It had a sweet smell to me (I actually dislike Patchouli most of the time) almost as if it had fermented into more of a liquor or wine-like aroma instead of more of the woodsy scent I'm accustomed to.
