    Default Rive Gauche alternatives

Hi, I really love Rive Gauche but find the longevity isnt all that great on my skin. Is there anything you guys would suggest that is along the same lines as Rive Gauche but stronger and longer lasting?

Not really. I would recommend you to ask someone else if (s)he can smell you. Rive Gauche is actually a well-above-average-longevity scent. Similar to it are Antaeus and Azzaro Pour Homme, but their longevity is comparable to RGpH

I thought that Rive Gauche smelled like a mix of Calandre and Arpčge.

Rive Gauche Pour Homme, now that smells similar to Azzaro PH as Irish said. Also, you might want to try Tuscany PH and YSL PH...

If you are talking about Rive Gauche PH, there is a Rive Gauche PH Intense! I get excellent longevity from the regular version.

Azzaro pour Homme (the original) is somewhat in the same vein, IMHO.

I have to concur, I can't think of much that really gets close.

I gotta second this. I once kissed a girl while I was wearing Rive Gauche Pour Homme. We were standing on a streetcorner on a cold winter night. A week passed and she confessed that her scarf had picked up the smell of my cologne-- and she slept with the scarf on her pillow the entire week! That should tell you something about the longevity, tenacity and sheer seductive powers of the one and only Rive Gauche Pour Homme. There is no substitute.

They are different enough that if you really love one of them, you should definitely treat yourself to the other, but they are enough in the same vein that for many people, one or the other would be fine. I go back and forth about which one I like better, but I'm glad I own both.

How can I tell if the Azzaro I have is original or not? Is the bottle or box different?

    Thanks,

I actually agree with the previous poster; I also find Anteaus to be similar in nature as RG.

I can smell RGpH at my wrist very long and strong. Donīt need the intense version which i couldnīt try till now.

Did try last week azarro ph again and i also think that there are enough similarities but find azarro is really potent, more intensiv than RGpH.

There's only one Azzaro pH. The one in the brown boddle. I know this for 25 years and to my nose it is still the same as it was in the 80ies.
