You do know there is a difference between shopping at a night market and shopping at a Dior boutique in one of the biggest luxury malls in Asia, don't you?

So, to answer your original question: there is no more worry buying fake perfume in Thailand than there is anywhere else.

OK, and to answer your question on difference of night market and shopping mall, I sure do, one is highly over rated then the other., You figure out which one I mean.

The fragrances in the high end shopping malls in Bangkok are 100 % genuine, including Siam Paragon

It is guarantee to be genuine if you get your perfume from their counter or boutique in the upscale store such as Siam Paragon, Central World, and EmQuatier (Some flagship stores here).

Francois Demachy had visited & given advise at Dior Counter in Siam Paragon.

Ervin Creed has visit Creed Counter there.

M.Micalef, Amouage & By Kilian are also have invited a lot of socialites to their brand opening here.

By the way, Etro is going to open their 1st boutique in Thailand at Gaysorn Plaza so their fragrance line might also available there.

FYI: Royal Mayfair, Tabarome Millesime, and the 75ml Royal Exclusives are now available at the Creed counter in the Beauty Hall at Siam Paragon. The 75ml Royal Exclusives are priced at 14900 baht. I do believe there is a 15% off promotion (plus vouchers) right now though. Still rather pricey! I think I'd rather get the 250ml at about double the price.

To add to the above: Royal Oud and Bois du Portugal are also available.

Amouage's Myths Man and Myths Woman are now available in Thailand (at least at Paragon.) Man prices: 10,000 baht for 100ml 7,400 baht (I think) for 50ml before discounts.

Any suggestions regarding discontinued or vintage designer fragrances? Are there decent shops that sell such?

What fragrances are you looking for specifically? I just bought a 2.5oz bottle of ADG Essenza in Bangkok....the residual supply of Essenza is pretty strong thus far. Dior Parfum is in an abundance too.

I saw a few from Pryn Parfums at Siam Centre yesterday.

Wondering where to find Le Labo? At Emquartier?
    Never mind, figured it out.
