Default Asked for Burberry London... got Brit. Should I keep?

I went out today with my girlfriend to the department store near my work, and asked for London and tried the three Burberry scents they had. I smelled all three and pointed to what I thought was London, and here I am two hours later realizing I bought a gift pack of Brit instead. However, I still want London.

What should I do? Should I exchange it or should I keep both?

I really love the smell of Brit but my collection is getting pretty large.

The moral of the story is... put the name of your scent on the front of the bottle and box please.

I enjoy both. Guess it depends on whether you like Brit. Wait to open it until after you can sniff it. This way you return it.

This brings back memories far back in my days. The second perfume I bought was a Burberry. I smelled several scents and told the SA ( who was shoving strips at my face) that Touch was my choice. But, she ended up giving me Burberry Men ( I could not tell from the box b/c Burberry's are all so similar in pkging). Anyways I got home and smelled the scent, which seemed old man-like to me and I realized it was the wrong one. Of course I went to the shop to exchange the product , but a few days later after wearing Touch, I conceded that it was a headache inducing scent.....I hate it with a passion till this day.

Anyways, the moral of the story is go with the bottle that you feel most comfortable in wearing. Both last a long time. I get 10 hours with London and the same with Brit. Brit is soo much more feminine. London is extremely comforting to me. Basically, they seem to be opposites to me but both have nice smooth sweet basenotes.

Thanks for the replies guys! That's all I need. I think I'll just go buy a gift pack of London, too. The more burberrier, the merrier!

In terms of Brit being feminine - I don't know what it is, but the feminine-like scents work the best on my skin. E.g. Prada Amber, Dior Homme, YSL L'Homme.

Brit is amazing, one of my favorites. Really high quality for a mainstream.

    Brit
never really did it for me, but London is one of my favorite non-niche fragrances. Of course, what do I know. My current favorite (Profumum Thundra) smells like mushrooms and soil, so I'm obviously pretty far off the reservation.

I agree with Astaroth on the London. It's one of my favorite non-niches too.

I'm wearing London today, and wore Brit last night. These were the perfect additions to my collection! Thanks for the advice, guys.

I received at least 3 compliments when I wore Brit, and so far none for London. I have Brit, London, Touch, Burberry for men and Weekend. The worst is the Weekend. It's not bad, but I feel like it's for high school kids.

Brit is feminine IMO, but London is one of the best scents around at the moment

Love London, not Brit so much. Brit is too sweet and feminine to me. In fact I'm smelling a card I sprayed at Ulta and it is too powdery and smells like a lemon candle at times.

Since these are relatively inexpensive, I would keep the Brit. You will eventually use it up. It's a nice frag (though London is even better IMO).
