How about Viktor and Rolf Antidote? It's a lighter oriental that is a bit powdery.

Damn, Sculpture beat me to it... Antidote is very nice, close to Envy but less powdery.

PS/Paul Sebastion looks like it fits the bill.

Back on topic though, does modern Old Spice still have Ambergris? I can't really tell. That might be a key to finding a new fragrance. If it were about the Ambergris I would recommend Azzaro pour Homme.

    Hmmm--I don't know....

Probably the best way to test out new fragrances that come with resposibilities is to first borrow and return (e.g., "babysit," "dogsit," etc.) them. That way, you're not saddled with unflattering scents for years upon years.

I've also found that the only females attracted by child-shaped/sized accoutrements are those who have none; these types still naively think children to be "adorable." Those with children, already, typically only offer glances of commiseration...!

Laura: What's that smell? It's sort of like something that's trying to be cologne.
Dr. Katz: Oh, you know what that is? It's a fragrance for men.
Laura: Oh--oh, and you're wearing it! I get it.
Dr. Katz: What do you think? It takes some getting used to.
Laura: Oh--that's a good name for it.

    Actually, this one:

...seems to be the one that I have. A few weeks ago, the company from which I'd ordered a bottle of Pour un Homme (Caron) sent along a spray bottle of "R"-scented deodorant.

May we post links to commercial websites? I didn't find anything prohibiting it on the FAQ. If so, then this:

When I sniff Habit Rouge by Guerlain, I get Old Spice as well, or some variation on that theme. It reminds me of the old formulation of OS when it was sweeter and powdery.
