Ripped up a rave last night, so I need something mellow today :

Chant D'Aromes by Guerlain

A layering of Labo Patchouli 24, Andy Tauer Lonestar Memories and Kiehl's Musk
Your nostrils, which will dilate immesurably in unspeakable contentment, in motionless ecstasy, will ask nothing better for space, for they will be full of fragrance, as if perfumes and incense; for they will be glutted with complete happiness, like angels who dwell in the peace and magnificence of pleasent heaven.

Exploring a bunch of previously untouched or barely touched samples of light and fresh scents.. today:
I'm wearing SL Un Bois Vanille today.

II est de forts parfums pour qui toute matière/Est poreuse. On dirait qu'ils pénètrent le verre.
Looking for: Vento Canale, da Gianni Campagna.
Parfumerie Generale (Private Collection) Un Crime Exotique
(the end of my sample... I am awaiting a replenishment from Moltening. Un Crime is what Serge Luten's 5 O'Clock Au Gingerbre was trying to be: a ginger-centric gourmand. Un Crime immediately transports you to a bakery, early in the morning when the fresh pastries are just coming out of the oven.)
Caswell-Massey Spice of Life (oil)
Vetivier Guerlain, today
Millésime Imperial Creed, tonite
A day of running around town and a thorough visit to the Jo Malone counter and Miller Harris counter at Bloomingdales with my girlfriend... after some yard work and a shower, it's Tom Ford for Men after shave (courtesy of Futami.. aaathankyou) and Bond No. 9 Saks 5th Ave for Him.
I'm a colognosaurus. Rawr!

SotE: Versace Pour Homme
Life is good, I'm happy, and this frag is the perfect scent to accompany my newly lifted spirits (no doubt in small part due to the fact that it was there when the good news first came a few days ago )
Une Fleur de Cassie
Top note: Mimosa Absolute, Rose Absolute
Middle note: Acacia Flower, Jasmine Absolute, Carnation
Base note: Vanilla, Musk, Sandalwood
Flowery, spicy, fruity, aldehydic, musky, woody; this scent is remarkable for its brilliant composition, its juxtaposition of notes that work together beyond expectation. This is the genius of the true nose, to make a scent that works in balance despite odd combinations by gauging exact proportions to achieve a novel effect. Ropion here succeeds in spades, making a rich floral-woody-oriental with subtle marriages of fruit and spice, using apricot to enhance the florals, and clove to reflect the carnation, and then tying it all together with a classic and straightforward woody oriental base note. This is an extraordinarily rich floral, shimmering and complex, with carefully arranged modulations to carry one through the seemingly seamless development in precise order. It's one of the best of an already excellent set in the Éditions de Parfums series.

I really like this one, as does my wife. I find this at least as enjoyable as Kenzo Power, although I find the latter a bit more complex and artistic. But GbGPH is a very nice frag with a great scent and good longevity. It has a very subtle but clear relationship to the women's scent. I will likely bottle on this one at some point!men's 'gucci by gucci' pour homme
woody chypre fragrance.
top notes of bergamot, cypress and violet.
heart notes of tobacco leaves and jasmine.
