I'm going to vote for M7 as the best of any list it's on.
Gucci Pour Homme
john varvatos Vintage
Lolita Lempicka Au Masculine
Narciso Rodriguez For Him
Prada Amber Pour Homme
Tom Ford For Men
“Greatest Contemporary Classic” should fit contemporary style but not fall in the trap of being generic. An original and outstanding new creation with strong roots in the traditions of art of perfumery. A great smell which lasts long on our skins, in our favorite lists and of course in the market.
The poll’s list consists of some launches after 2k. I’ve tried to achieve a practically short and fair list, but ly I’ve injected my personal opinion as well in the process of making the list. “Prada”, “Antidote” and “Armani Code” are there, because I consider them well crafted noteworthy launches and I’m sure lots of you disagree with it!
And also Burberries (London and Brit) had a chance to enter the list especially because of the protests of some BNer (like the_good_life) against the list of a thread with the same theme few months ago. But honestly I don’t think of them as great as others in the list; and finally I put London out for the sake of “john varvatos vintage” which is a better crafted and better smelling product with similar smell. My prediction is that the final competition would be between "Narciso RFH" and "TD Hermes" but I'm curious to see the results of such a poll.
I would be happy to know your opinions about niche products and/or mainstream one which are noteworthy in this regard.

I'm going to vote for M7 as the best of any list it's on.
It was a toss up between most of those, especially M7, Gucci pour Homme, and Dior Homme. I went with Christian Dior though. I'm surprised I don't see more for Terre d'Hermes. Maybe it just needs more time.

M7's my favorite out of the lot but I had to vote for Terre d'Hermes for its popularity...we are talking "contemporary" after all...
M7 and Gucci PH are excellent, but I couldn't imagine wearing them more than once every two weeks (and that's a "stretch" for me).

I chose Gucci PH
Yes Gucci. Everything about the composition just feels so right to me.
I think leaving London off the list for Brit was a travesty and that it is better than Vintage too, despite liking Vintage. In fact I'm not sure why London wouldn't be on over Narcisco, Prada Amber, or Armani Code.
My vote would be none except to see the stats I out TdH because it is growing on me.

"As you walk down the fairway of life you must smell the roses, for you only get to play one round."
I expected TdH, dior homme and Gucci ph to win this. Certainly the first two are well on the way to classic status. Brit is probably not, but I chose it anyway. For the reasons, see my recent review.
II est de forts parfums pour qui toute matière/Est poreuse. On dirait qu'ils pénètrent le verre.
Terre D'Hermes is still my favorite.
Varvatos Vintage: as good as many niche scents, high quality, very unique stuff. HUGELY underrated on basenotes....
My Top Six - Guerlain Vetiver, Santal Noble, Bois Du Portugal, Antaeus, GIT, Vetiver Extraordinaire
I would have chosen London over Brit... Since London isn't an option, I'll go with Dior Homme...
I couldn't decide between two so I voted for both: Prada Amber and Antidote. I think Prada Amber smells a bit higher quality, but Antidote is one of the most complex perfumes that I've encountered. It's just that as of late I've grown sensitive to some note in the base and it's obscuring the composition of the scent for me.

This is a tough one for me to decide on! There are a lot of my favorites mentioned in this list including M7, Terre d'Hermes, Lolita Lempicka au masculin, Burrberry Brit, etc. It's hard not to just pick my fave from the bunch (which would be Lolita Lempicka au masculin) & be objective to the reasoning behind the thread.
I think my final choice goes to...Burberry Brit.

M7 for me, but I classify it as First Among Equals.

I voted for TdH just over Burberry Brit.
Conscience is what hurts when everything else feels so good.
TdH for me by a mile. Followed by Dior Homme, then Antidote.
This may change in 2 weeks when stock of Narciso arrives at my local store and I rush in for a blind buy!
I voted Dior Homme and M7. I usually try to pick only ONE choice in multiple choice votes, but I absolutely couldn't do it this time!
I managed to squeeze down to TdH, but would have also voted Tom Ford, Dior Homme and LL au Masculin. Gucci pH is nice, but its just too piss-weak for me.

M7 is my choices, it took a chance and succeeded. The others? They're just not all that interesting. I find Narciso Rodriguez especially vacuous and superficial.

Dior Homme for me, and it looks like I'm not alone. DH captured my vote because it is beautifully balanced, rich, and, in my opinion, unique. There's nothing out there quite like it. 2nd and 3rd votes went to Prada Amber and Tom Ford. I almost voted for NRfH, which I like (my SOTD today), but I can't say that it's a classic in the sense that it will live on long after the fad of its release. Dior Homme will.

no Burberry London? are you kidding me?
cmon now.....London bar none.
put it in a Killian bottle and it would be a "niche classic"

Oops. I submitted before considering the multiple-choice aspect of the poll. I would have included Gucci P.H. at least.
All of these I either hate or haven't tried(m7, NRodriguez).
