Default If I Crossed Vetiver Extraordinaire with L'Air Du Desert Marocain...

    Where would I land?

Like, the name of the closest fragrance name.

I once smelled something vaguely to that description on someone, but never got to ask her what it was.

it had a vetiver/ambery-resinous quality to it.

Oh yea, I just received a bottle of LDDM and it is very intriguing. I was doubtful, at first, about Tauer capturing the scent of the desert, but I was completely wrong. This stuff is great!

I wouldn't. They're both great fragrances that should stand on their own.

Maybe it was Vetiver Oriental, by Serge Lutens. That is the only one I have sampled which comes close to this description.

Bois du Portugal . . . New York?
I don't know of anything that combines the beauty of L;Air du Dessert and Vetiver Extraordinaire into one complete fragrance. But, the two that come to mind that combine woods and amber with vetiver depth are: Creed Bois du Portugal and Nicolai New York. BdP has lavender at the opening and New York has citrus orange in the opening. But both have a nice wood, amber and vetiver finish which combines some of the good qualities of LDDM and VE.

Oh oops I guess I misread...These are always impossible to figure out. Just keep sampling, and next time ask the person what fragrance they're wearing...even if you're embarassed.
