Default How can anyone not like ...?

Anyone remember how in Seinfield Jerry's mother proclaimed:
"How can you not like Jerry?". She was oblivious to his very obvious quirks and narcissistic personality.
Despite Prada Amber and Prada Infusion d'Homme having many critics, I'm a bit like Jerry's mother in how I like them.
Are there any fragrances that have a high number of negative reviews that you just adore?

Jicky always gets alot of negative marks, I think because of the civet. I love it, tho.

One thing I do not understand is how does Bois blond get the bad reviews it has, while LdDM is a favorite here. IMO, Bois Blond is better than LdDM in terms of complexity and longevity. It is a tad sweeter, but I can live with that.

Shameless Plug: Sales thread with Roses Musk, Rose Poivree, and others.
Looking for lot of samples of female fragrances.

Two fragrances I've seen dismissed as bland fruity-florals - Creed's Cuir de Russie and Tonatto's Oltre. Totally baffled by that.

I don't get the "coldness" or "severity" people often criticize Avignon for.

Same feelings here on the Bois Blond hate. It seems so pleasing and up many Basenoters' alley, but I've seen it called everything from dead fish to run-of-the-mill amber.

M7 - I love it, it baffles me that people wouldn't.
