I'm really surprised that Burberry Brit is considered a floral. I've tried a lot of florals, but nothing has truly been addicting like Brit.

    Rose:
    C&S No. 88 (vintage)
    Tremlett Black Tie
    Caraceni

    white floral:
Dukes of Pall Mall Cotswold (jasmine-muguet)
    Crown Sandringham (muguet)

    Violet:
    Green Irish Tweed

    Neroli:
    C&S Neroli

Iris (ok, it's a root, but nevertheless)
    TDC Bois d'Iris

    abstract:
    CdG 3

There are dozens of great masculines in which florals play a key part, from Maxim's pour home to Villoresi Sandalo.

Givenchy's Insense and Trumper's Fougena are the only pure florals that I've tried, which are devoid of wood, and yet made for men.

Carnal Flower unisex??? Um... I would love to find a unisex tuberose, but I don't think this one's it.

Some that I think are nice:
Delrae Bois de Paradis (rose, fig, coconut)
Tom Ford Noir de Noir (rose, saffron, patchouli)
L'Artisan Thé Pour un Été (green tea, jasmine)
Jo Malone French Lime Blossom (self-explanatory)
Armani Privé Cuir Améthyste (violets, light leather)

And of course, you've gotta try Fleur du Male.

Givenchy Insensé is the best and the most floral hands down!
Other nice ones are Ungaro III (muguet), 212 Man (gardenia), Infusion d'Homme (neroli), Le fleur du male la cologne (neroli and hints of gardenia), Fahrenheit (awthorne and violets), Grey Flannel (violets), and many others...

    ^Agree with the above.

Rose, historically, was a very masculine note, so pretty much any rose-heavy fragrance can be easily worn by men. To that end, Montale Aoud Queen Roses is really quite spectacular, as is Fresh Cannabis Rose (a "dirty" rose).

Creed Jasmin Imperiatrice Eugenie and Guerlain Flora Nerolia is wonderful (Neroli and Jasmine), as are the Hermes Jardins.

As well, don't just "stop" with scents marketed for men; there are lots of florals technically marketed for women that nevertheless men can... and should... try. For instance, I wear L'interdit 2 de Givenchy (now discontinued, sadly), which is a floral, but with a base of rose and sandalwood that I find very unique and inviting, plus with an added strawberry note that keeps things interesting.

Oh, also, try Flowerbomb by V&R. I really like it as well.

    Rose:
Dominico Caracini - Roses, cypress, and incense. Rich and dark. At first I found it a bit funereal, but now I love it. I'm really annoyed that they've discontinued it. Bastards.

    Violet:
Green Irish Tweed - Much better featuring of a violet note than the others I own (Trumper's, Gray Flannel).

    Iris:
Dzonghka - As with GIT, there's a lot more going on here than flowers, but the iris root note is definitely one of the prominent features of this scent. A close second choice would be MPG Iris Bleu Gris ... and if you really want the Iris "in your face" and uncluttered, I'd go with the MPG.

    Carnation:
LV Garofano - It took me a while to warm up to this one. At first, I just thought it smelled odd, then it gave me flashbacks to my senior prom. Finally, I wore it in extremely hot and humid weather and when I was sweating like a madman, I noticed that I smelled like a flower-filled greenhouse: fresh dirt, roses, and a million carnations. This is one of my very favorites for August here in Kentucky. Definitely one of the sleepers from this great house.

Oh, and I just remembered the beautiful white lilies in Passage d'Enfer. Now, there's another great incense/floral!

Acqua di Parma Colonia Original -beautiful rose note. The light friendly rose in AdP is the antithesis to the dark brooding rose of No. 88; both are tremendous.

The Third Man by Caron. A fougere with a bouquet of jasmine, rose and carnation in its heart. If you can get a vintage bottle, like the one shown in its Fragrance Directory page - a gray-ish brown, rectangular bottle, it's far richer than the more recent juice in the clear, squat bottle.

Many of my favorites have already been mentioned (especially No.88), let me add three that haven't:

    Bogart pour Homme
    Pomegranate Noir
Jean Marie Farina Extra Vieille (yes, it's a citrus but the rose is very prominent and similar to the rose in AdP Colonia and No.88)

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, and sorry I could not travel both and be one traveler, long I stood and looked down one as far as I could to where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, ...... I shall be telling this with a sigh somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -- I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference. - Robert Frost

Perhaps that is why it has always been my favorite. I am just beginning to realize a pattern - that I am drawn to carnation scents in general.

Remember he stated masculine. Fluer de male isn't anywhere near masculine lol.

    Fresh Cannabis Rose is awesome

And Creeds Fleurs de Bulgari is one I would wear in a heartbeat.

Very masculine rose-based entries would be: Ungaro III, Antaeus, and No. 88

However, if you are looking for a general floral (not flower specific) scent, then Kenzo Power settles the debate pretty quickly.

It's fairly masculine, but in a Dior Homme way. About as masculine as Insense, but not quite Antaeus.

    hmm.

I have always considered GIT and Eau d'NY to be more fougeres than floral, but I guess I have underestimated the flowers in them. As the wise scentemental wrote:
"Almost all great men's fragrances have a solid floral component in their heart notes"*

We need a good lavender**. I nominate Zino Davidoff.

    * Not that GIT is particularly great
** Though lavender is sometimes more like a green smell than a flower.

The naming of scents tends to be tricky nowadays. JPG might have chosen a more distinctive name for its new scent.
Dear friend, look at the reviews and you will see that there is a La Cologne Fleur du Male out in 2008, which is much fresher, much more wearable for men, a really nice floral.
That _is_ a real reason for a true basenoter to laugh out loudly
