Another month has come and gone here in the accounting firm of Dewey. Wearham, and Howe and it is time to count up the totals for November 2008. The totals for November look like this; 5,178 total posts representing 1,629 different scents. 794 scents were worn just once for an individuality index of 15.3%. If you add in the scents worn 2,3,or 4 times for an average of less than one wear per week the index rises to 42.9%. These numbers are slightly lower than October for total wears and number of scents and slightly higher for individuality index. In truth they are right in line with the slight downturn in the weekly numbers.
The top 10 has a couple of new members most prominently Serge Lutens Chergui comes in at #3. It is surprising to see a Serge Lutens scent separate from the pack and post a larger wear total than others in the House but as of late Chergui has been getting a very high number of wears and while it is mostly fueled by the women there are a fair number of guys helping it along. The ladies also put two others in the top 10 in a pair of Guerlains, L’Heure Bleue at #8 and Shalimar at #7. Of course those aren’t the only two Guerlains in the top 10 as it is bracketed at #9 with Habit Rouge and #1 with Vetiver. Dior Homme comes in at #2. The next three at #4 and two tied for #5 are Creed Bois du Portugal, Hermes Terre D’Hermes and Tauer L’air du Desert Marocain. Frederic Malle Musc Ravageur finishes out the top 10 at #9.

Four wears behind was Montale Red Vetyver and two more wears back was Estee Lauder Sensuous and Frederic Malle Dans Tes Bras. That’s the bottom line for November.
As always, you keep wearing ‘em and I’ll keep counting ‘em.
