Default Buxton v. Duchaufour. Bring it On!!!

The two champions of the transparent woody floral, who create a unique frisson, in Turin's words, of the archaic and sci-fi and have redefined incense in the process. Choose your favorites among this selection!

Great - list. I chose my absolute favorites (even though I own ones I didn't vote for) as 2 Man, Jubilation XXV and Avignon (Series 3: Incense).

Wow, Duchaufour now takes places 1-5 in a devastating rout. I suppose in part because L'Artisan, Amouage and CDG Incense are BN favorites, while biehl and elternhaus are less popular here and few seem to have tried Scent 79 Man (my vote for best release in 2008). I personally love the smell of Avignon but voted Ourzazate, which I actually prefer to smell of. I wouldn't ave expected CDG 2 to be Buxton's best showing. But things may still shift slightly.

I haven't voted because I haven't tried most of the Buxton ones, but I actively disliked Paestum Rose, Dzing and Dzongkha, and quite liked CDG 3, so as far as it goes, I'm inclining more to B than D.

They're both great perfumers , but a bit overrated IMO.
I love Jil Sander scent 79, I don't like most CdG's, but I love Avignon. I was slightly dissapointed with Jubilation(good but a bit yawn..)and the Eau d'Italie line.( Bois d'Ombrie was unwearable and the rest quit boring).
