Thread: Number Six w/ longevity?
My partner loves Caswell-Massey's Number Six, but he's stopped buying it because of its terrible longevity. Does anybody know of a scent that is very similar to Number Six but isn't gone in two hours?
Number Six is one of my favorite citrus fragrances as well. Supposedly, it was a favorite of George Washington. It is a blend of bergamot, orange blossom, rosemary and 27 aromatics.
Citrus scents have notoriously poor longevity as the molecules are light and dissipate rapidly.
Let me suggest these for him to try:
Jean Marie Farina Extra Vieille Eau de Cologne (I routinely get more than 8 hours with this)
Acqua di Parma Colonia
Boucheron Pour Homme (EdP)
Lorenzo Villoresi Uomo
YSL Pour Homme
Instinct (don't laugh, it's a very good scent)

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, and sorry I could not travel both and be one traveler, long I stood and looked down one as far as I could to where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, ...... I shall be telling this with a sigh somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -- I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference. - Robert Frost
