Default Cuir d'Iris, a safe blind buy?

Sorry to ask this, but someone wants to get me a fragrance for Christmas and I need to give them some ideas. How can I refuse?

bbBD loves it more than anyone i know. i've tried it and i think it's quite nice....a very elegant, unique leather fragrance.

having said that, i think it IS a pretty good blind buy, however only for someone who is very into leather scents and something a bit unique. As far as i remember, you are into unique scents hyde65.....so maybe it's alright?

worse comes to worse...you can probably sell it to some desperate leather whore.......AHEM....like me. LOL

It's a really good fragrance. I don't think you can go wrong with it.

No fragrance is ever a "safe" blind-buy mate. See if you can rush a sample to yourself :-p

No. As much as I like Cuir d'Iris, I recommend that you sample it before your friend pulls the trigger.

I recommend sampling also. I tried it a few times, and the 3rd time the leather was really overpowering for me. It IS a nice leather, but it seems a bit linear, and after a while it was just too much.

Sample first! It's a very nice leather, but it's not a straight forward fragrance. I like it and wear it, but some days I find it harsh and a little off-putting.

I love the frag, but recommend to try first!
As a present from someone - it`s good suggestion!!!
I`d like if someone gifted it to me. At least, it shows ones` taste in frags.

Do sample first. I'm a huge fan of PG as a Perfumer, but Cuir d'Iris was somewhat boring to me.

I agree with everyone recommending sampling first. Its a very well made fragrance and I have a decant of it but I'm in no rush about a bottle.

My favorite "iris" is actually Serge Luten's Iris Silver Mist - so make sure you sample that one too!

Don't forget to buy the 100ml bottle from The Perfume Shoppe for $140. (http://www.theperfumeshoppe.com/) As opposed to LuckyScent's 50ml for $135.
