VIKTOR & ROLF
Have I told you about the scent of jasmine? Have I spoken about the smell of the sea? The earth is scented. And I perfume myself to enhance what I am. That's why I can not wear a perfume that bothers me. Perfuming is an instinctive wisdom. And like all art, it requires some knowledge of yourself..."

But once you get locked into a serious perfume collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can.

The new Nina by Nina Ricci.
While I was at the shops today I noticed there was a new version out called Pretty Nina. Tried it. Seems very much the exact same.... odd.
Finally the last day at work. I'm wearing Nuit de Noël today, to put me into a Christmas mode
Have a great day all

I'm wearing Le Dix for the first time in ages.

Liz Zorn Soivohle Solstice, just a day or two late but perfect for the season. Beautifully constructed take on some of my favorite notes! Doesn't break new ground, but elegant, well-done and delightful.
Solistice notes: Frankincense from both Somalia and Oman, sweet myrrh (opopanax), woods, orris, patchouli and a light touch of vanilla.
It’s thought that people who hope too much will just waste their life away and never get down to doing any real work. They’re confusing Hope with Wish, its lazy cousin... When Wish whispers, “Something is just around the corner,” what comes or not is never what was wished for. When Hope whispers “Something is just around the corner,” something always is. -- Charlie Elberson
My sale thread has some of my underappreciated fragrances looking for a good, new home...
Hello, honeys !
Terry, I almost wore that one...
Poor Dragon...I teased her yesterday, and I RUE it today.
Hope she's OK.
Tommi, I LOVE the way you smell.
I've been up FOREVER...
All four burners going, I felt like Mickey in the Sorcerer's Apprentice, LOL !
OK, so far:
Pecadillo of beef [ we think it's chili, but my Mexican girlfriend weeps every time, and swears it's pecadillo, like her Abuela made]
Mixed southern greens w/ bacon
Farfalle with a mustardy Mornay /Soubise / I don't know what- sauce, four sharp cheeses
Lemony panko chicken
Terry's raspberry brownies
Pecadillo is for tomorrow, with the latkes, mulled cider, cold hard cider / Heinies, Balvenie/ selters for the timid
Caramelised brussel sprouts, with ginger
Dilled artichoke / spinach/ horseradish cheddar dip
Nuts, olives, pepites, cheeses, crackers, breads
I don't know.
Up at 4:30 Xmas day, it's my turn [ I choose it, in all fairness; I simply don't need to have it off like others do !]
Louise and Josh should be at South Station by 3 pm.
I'm not bathed yet, but my Blue Amber smelt good, anyway.
Probably put on Ambra Tibet , or something very like.
Maybe layer with Royal Parvati...very edgy, rich woody.
Tomorrow, we try to find the cookbooks I want for Isaac... probably out of print.
Toronto is very snowy [ BIG surprise there !]- hope Is makes it home for tomorrow.
May you all enjoy, you wonderful people whom I dearly love.
I wish you were in my kitchen, right now.
Have blessed holidays !
Trying 1826--Eugenie de Montijo on the right hand and Vert Pivoine (green peony) on the other. Will post impression within the Histoires de Parfums thread.
Be safe, all.
