These two are not technically my sotd. More sata- scent at the airport. I tested two scents at bangkok airport- Kenzo Power and Narciso Rodriguez for Him- both wonderful 'powdery' frags but it was love at first sniff for Kenzo Power. I love, love this so much

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, and sorry I could not travel both and be one traveler, long I stood and looked down one as far as I could to where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, ...... I shall be telling this with a sigh somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -- I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference. - Robert Frost

I got this EDT in 90`s as New Year present from former GF, and still wear it for memory and just for the Santa Claus feeling.

    Creed
    Santal Impérial
    (1850)

    Notes: Sandalwood, Tonka Bean, Ambergris
Quite old-school, not very strong, with a somewhat limited sillage. This is a very straightforward sandalwood, with a little bergamot in the top and some other woody and coumarin notes in the base, plus the ever-present Creed signature ambergris. Not great on longevity, this scent is nevertheless redolent of aristocracy and conservative notions of style. If you like solid and reliable scents that send a message of (perhaps slightly smug) self-possession and self-regard, this is for you. The other possibility is that you like something very obviously old-fashioned; simple, yet brilliant in its simplicity; and satisfyingly (if fleetingly) beautiful; then this is for you, too. Personally, I think I'll take it on the latter terms.

SOTD: Montale - Aoud Damascus, from a sampler.

The first Montale sample I tried was Black Aoud, which convinced me for a long time that aoud fragrances are not for me (way too strong and way too much rose). But to my surprise I find Aoud Damascus quite wearable.

SOTE: another Montale sampler, Patchouli Leaves. Interesting and nice, but not something I would wear in public.
