    Default Amouage Gold Reformulation

In the end of 2007, maybe beginning 2008, but maybe even earlier, i noticed a reformulation in my beloved Amouage Gold. The burden of aldehydes from the top notes is gone, no longer as sparkling as it was. The "baby powder" what people reffered to is MUCH less present and i smell less florals except rose. Myrrh and frankincense seem tio be amped up and the fragrance seems somewhat complexer than before.

But it's a million miles apart. It seems like a big reformulation to my nose, compared to Givenchy Gentleman for example, which is very obvious.

    Any opinions gentelmen?

    See the earlier thread:

    Amouage Gold Reformulated?

By the way, if it has been reformulated, I like the new stuff better.

This is terrible for me and good for you!

So much for my old love. It has become much more wearable though, and that's a damn shame

Or to put it another way, how on earth is someone who has the panache to give 5 stars to Antaeus, Vintage Tabarome, Givenchy Gentleman, Trussardi Uomo, Knize Ten and Yatagan possibly pine after Amouage Gold?

This Koan is too advanced for me.

    I must go sit . . .

Absinthe makes the heart grow fonder.

My Antaeus can beat up your Armani.

Did you quote the wrong person? Vibert gave Trussardi Uomo just 1 star

Edit: Just read the part about the Koan, so it was messaged to me...

Check my review why i like Amouage Gold, in the review directory. It was written while drinking too much vodka.
