M. Micallef Gaiac
from a sample
Top Notes: Basil, Bergamot, Lavender, Lemon, Orange
Middle Notes: Carnation, Cedar, Geranium, Patchouli, Rosewood
Base Notes: Amber, Benzoin, Labdanum, Musk, Tonka Bean, Vanilla
A spicy aromatic fougère scent from the early 70s. Fresh and spicy top notes lead to a heart of woods and florals, with a base of amber, resins, musk, coumarin, and vanilla. Great sillage right off and then gets quieter; longevity varies depending on temperature. An appealing scent: fresh, energizing, suave, not overwhelming.
Yr good bud,
"Why spend life seeking that which does not satisfy? Why remain a slave, when freedom waits? Let your life shine; illumine the world with your truth!"
Fiat justitia ruat cælum.
Let justice be done, even if the sky should fall.

Your nostrils, which will dilate immesurably in unspeakable contentment, in motionless ecstasy, will ask nothing better for space, for they will be full of fragrance, as if perfumes and incense; for they will be glutted with complete happiness, like angels who dwell in the peace and magnificence of pleasent heaven.

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, and sorry I could not travel both and be one traveler, long I stood and looked down one as far as I could to where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, ...... I shall be telling this with a sigh somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -- I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference. - Robert Frost

Heard melodies are sweet, but those unheard are sweeter. (Keats)
Holy smokes! If this isn't the manliest patchouli/leather/sandalwood fragrance, I don't know what is. I used about 1/2 of a 2.5ml decant and I'm surrounded in a heady cloud. I'm looking forward to owning this (soon!).

One of the nicest chypres I've smelled. It's so...green. This is so easy to love.
Have I told you about the scent of jasmine? Have I spoken about the smell of the sea? The earth is scented. And I perfume myself to enhance what I am. That's why I can not wear a perfume that bothers me. Perfuming is an instinctive wisdom. And like all art, it requires some knowledge of yourself..."
