Default Polo Black and Chanel Allure Homme

To me they smell very similar. I don't why but they seem to choke my throat, they are very powdery and horrible - talc and vomit. There must be something in common

Aha, thats one interesting linking here that I admittedly dont get at all.
To me Allure is a very well blend spicy frag with the aldehydes and the tonka shining through whereas the Polo simply is a nauseating fruity mess.
Love the Allure, heavily dislike the Polo.

Having just had both near my nostrils yesterday, I re-visited them again today in the interests of testing your theory. I can't really say that I can see the connection, but it might be the way that my nose is wired. To me Allure is a great blend of ingredients with good balance and longevity, Polo is a clumsy mess of a concoction that has limited longevity and minimal long term appeal.

I agree. Polo Black doesnít do anything for me. When I spray it on me it smells sugary. I donít smell the smoke note that Iíve heard other men comment. At least on my skin anyway. (Iím a woman so I donít know how it would smell on a man) Then in 30 minutes it dies down completely. So much for lasting power.

Chanel Allure Homme does last longer. I like it more than the former. However, Iím still in the neutral camp. I definitely smell the Citrus, Tonka and Vetiver in this frag.

Personally I prefer Allure Homme Sport over both.

    Lovingly
    Liz

I have never smelled Polo Black...never wanted to. But I have definetly heard the connection to talc and vomit like you do.

I do find Allure Homme to be sickening. I even feel dizzy when I wear my samole vial of it ( to test it out). I find Allure Homme to be more milky/creamy than powdery, but that is just how I feel.

I think it would be a good idea to stay away from both. Give Lalique Le Faune EDP a shot. Much better IMO.
