they're nothing alike - I prefer Bvlgari, which contains a rubbery/leathery accord over the Versace, which is more of an incense/woods fragrance. The Versace isn't bad, but I don't think the quality is nearly as good as the Bvlgari. I don't own either, but I'd choose the Bvlgari.
I'm curious what you mean by wanting a 'black' fragrance - do you mean spicy? leathery? woodsy? Unfortunately the fragrance name 'black' can be misleading (i.e. Polo Black and Double Black) as it doesn't really refer to any specific genre, accord, or notes. Not that you shouldn't try anything and everything, but to prevent being disappointed with a blind buy, let us know what type of notes you're looking for and the people here will most certainly give more recommendations than you can handle!
