LOL. No need to ask for forgiveness. That was brilliant.

It's so kind of Ewan to personally look for a civet substitute, although I understand due to the difficulties involved it was left out of the final product.

Oh yeah, sorry SoS, I'd forgotten your recent adventures with Adventure! Don't get me wrong, I actually do like the stuff. So much so that it frustrates me that it disappears so quickly.

In case anyone's wondering, that clip is from the movie "Train Spotting"

    A civet substitute indeed! LOL

I'm still trying to figure this scent out. I'm saddened that whatever caused my confused olfactory impression of the opening being this huge and glorious orange and pepper blast was just that, confusion.

Does anyone else find that the sillage is really week at first, but seems to get stronger around the 2-4 hour mark, and then settles back down? I still absolutely LOVE the scent on the skin from the midnotes through the drydown - the pimento berries give a cinnamon/cumin like ambience and then that fades to reveal the sesame seeds cedar and musk, and it's absolutely gorgeous when I've got my skin to my nose.

The early notes seem a bit more synthetic than I recall. I wish I could chop off the topnotes and just have them give me the midnotes on down in a more concentrated version, with a bit higher quality ingredients. Or heck, keep the topnotes but put some natural citrus in there.

I can't wait for the warmer weather to see how it fares then.

No need to apologize though. I'm not one of those who is going to get bent out of shape if someone dislikes what I like.

edit: Truffle, perhaps you should include a link to the original ad for those who've not seen it, so they can better appreciate this spoof.

Just curious if you were in the final stages of recovery from a cold or something. I find that certain notes just scream big-time at that stage of a cold - when the anosmia fades away and the receptors go back online in a strange order.
