Default Burberry Brit vs. Zino Davidoff by Davidoff?

From what I gather these two fragrances are pretty similar. They both seem interesting. Which is the better fragrance in terms of quality, sillage, and longevity?

They are as similar as black is similar to white. Better quality = Zino. Better Sillage = Zino. Better longevity = Zino. Not that Brit is a bad fragrance. But next to Zino, it doesn't hold.

Although my opinion differs from what Mudassir has to say above relative to quality of the fragrances (considering Maisondieu's effort with Brit for Men to be a superior achievement), I agree with him that the fragrances differ significantly from each other. Not comparable fragrances, really, and they certainly are not interchangeable in a wardrobe.

I would agree with the members above that they are miles apart. Personally I find Zino unwearable, and Brit synthetic smelling.

I have both and love them. If I had to choose one, it'd be Zino Davidoff. This is because it has a better longevity and sillage than Brit.

Zino, hands down. After the initial beauty, after about an hour Brit turns a very lame, mediocre scent. Zino should be applied lightly, but for long time remains very nice.

As the posters have said, these are not similar scents, and Zino is the clear winner.

I had Zino many years ago and I have tested Brit many times.
Zino is a much more interesting and different fragrance from any angle you look at it.

I'll row in on Zino too. Deep, dirty and long-lasting.

Of course, you can also try Heritage too, given that it's modeled closely on Zino.

One reviewer called Zino "oldschool Burberry Brit", and I agree with that. Citrus top and creamy base, there is definitely a similarity between both, and to me Brit is a somewhat more modern interpretation of the same theme. Quality, sillage and longevity is at least 4/5 on both fragrances, so imho the decision must be made according to your preference either for 80s nostalgia/elegance (NOT old-fashioned or dated) or modern casual versatility.

I prefer Burberry Brit. Far more wearable for myself and I do enjoy the powdery/dusty feel to it. I don't think it is outstanding, but I keep comming back to it. Just more wearable.

To me, Zino makes me feel how much of a "boy" I still am. Its too much and I feel intimidated wearing it. I don't think I would personally wear this in public.

Brit has fantastic longevity with me ( 2 sprays max) and very versatile. Even before I smelled it, it was something I was looking for in terms of a modern powdery scent.

Just a few wears of Zino.Quite impressed with it because Heritage[guerlain] is my love.
Had Brit for a long time and I can not explain clearly why so but eventhough Zino is surely better than Brit, I can use brit quite often[versatile a bit] while Zino deserves a special occasion.

When I first sniffed Zino, I loved it.It feels kinda dark, mysterious, romantic and I can never stop myself once in a while sniffing my arm.
What I love about Brit is its Powdery dry down...and its more wearable for me during daytime.

I love both of them but clearly Zino is a quite superior to Brit.

I'd go with Zino because while fragrance notes are highly subjective, in terms of projection, longevity and sillage Zino definitely stands out
