Thread: SEX in a BOTTLE??? |
Well, the thought's crossed my mind but I've never really found a bottle big enough for the two or three of us. Here's hoping!
Tom Ford Splits:Noir de Noir, Neroli Portofino, Lavender Palm, Plum Japonais, Champacca Absolute, Tobacco Vanille ONE LEFT: Italian Cypress, Patchouli Absolu, Amber Absolute, Tuscan Leather, Oud Wood
Most of the time I am very proud of the Basenotes community. Time after time I have witnessed the thoughtfulness, empathy & genuine friendship that members of this community extend to others - oldtimers & newcomers alike. There are other times, however, when egos get the upper hand and civility goes out the window. My philosophy is that I won't say anything here that I would not say if you were standing in front of me. Welcome to Basenotes, each and every one of us. ~ TwoRoads

Onda by Vero Kern. It's the most gloriously skanky thing I have ever come across.
Not so much Sex in a Bottle as Sex in a Pigsty.....

although personally i feel pure vanilla essence would be sensual
Have you actually tried Fleurs du Male on any woman????
I think it is totally disgusting - one of the worst scents ever.
As a woman, I have to confess: There is no sex in a bottle, not even in 2 bottles...(of vodka or champagne).
A man has to have
1. the gift of the gab -
2. mesmerizing eyes -
3. a handsome body - in order to be seducing.
Too much perfume on a man is off-putting anyway.
So if you want to seduce women, sharpen your mind and your tongue...and don't waste too much time on looking for the "right" fragrance.

Absinthe makes the heart grow fonder.
My Antaeus can beat up your Armani.
I've never had the pleasure of testing it but I hear EAU D'HERMÈS is sex in a bottle.

'Il mondo dei profumi è un universo senza limiti: una fraganza puo rievocare sensazioni, luoghi, persone o ancora condurre in uno spazio di nuove dimensioni emozionali' L. V.
Aoud Cuir D'Arabie. ( Especially if there's an Arab biker involved at some point.)
If you think women will fall for something as ridiculous as 'sex IN a bottle', you'd probably end up having sex WITH a bottle... LOL.
As a woman with some knowledge of history, I will agree on some points, but beg to differ here.
True, perfume alone on a man will not seduce a woman, however...
Some of the most seductive men and women did not even have good looks in face or body...in fact, they were ugly. There is the French term "jolie laide," which means "ugly beauty." Some of the most fascinating men and women were known for their spirit and intellect alone. This made them "sexy." Beauty alone won't do it: a handsome face nor the body of a Greek god or goddess.
Casanova, the famouse Italian seducer, was not classically handsome, and the French/Spanish 19th century soprano diva Pauline Viardot was downright homely.
Of the great intellect of the Baronne de Stael (not known for her beauty), one of her lovers said, "Her mind dazzled me. Within an hour, she held the greatest sway over me that a woman can have over a man." The courtesan Cora Pearl, said to have had the looks and manner of a stable boy, drove men to obsession and ruin. The same can be said of a man--he can be plain and ordinary, but women will flock to him if he has some other charms.
I also beg to differ on the amount of perfume on a man. I love a man who is not afraid to spray some scent and throw some sillage! His perfume is like a male animal's primal scent--an artificial male "musk," if you will--that signals that he finds himself attractive and takes the time to groom himself.
Charm and intellect are the attractive magnets that outlive sheer beauty of face and form. The case of Lady Jane Digby, who found the truest love in a foreign man many years her junior...is an interesting tale.
Anyhow, JMHO...
ROTFL!

Azzaro Pour Homme smells like Sex AND a shower at the same time
Sex in a bottle... Armani Code.
Great works are performed, not by strength, but by perseverance.
ROTFL! Yes, that's IT!! And pour it on by the bottle!!
Seriously, anything that is overmarketed (anything Armani, especially AdG) is a bore. Coco Chanel said it herself. In order to be noticed, be unique.
If you wear what all the other men are wearing, you will blend into the sea of what everyone else is wearing. Boring, boring...
There are so many bland aquatics out there and I smell 'em on seemingly every man...
As in the OP, I would admire the guts of a man who would wear Alexander McQueen's Kingdom with impunity. The strong scent seems to just ooze masculinity (even though marketed as a female scent) as if to say: "Here I am, ladies--the line forms to the right." This has the sensual swagger that few men can pull off.
The strong cumin accord....wow!

A fine answer!
My wife prefers compassion, understanding, an open ear and a closed mouth, respect, admiration, appreciation, and Old Spice high endurance deodorant, classic scent.

For 17-30 year old women I recommend The Dreamer and Fleur du Male.

YSL M7 is the closest thing I've found to capturing the "vibe". On a woman, probably Dior Poison or Chanel No. 5.
Pure Malt. Not exactly dirty, but has a reputation for attracting the ladies.
I think the people's choice is Stella Artois. Personally I don't like it though : /
