Guerlain Parure EdT (with a dab of extrait underneath)
This discontinued jewel is rarely mentioned, which is probably why it was discontinued a couple years ago for 'low demand'. Parure deserves to mentioned in discussions of the great classical chypres. Parure is set apart with notes of lilac and rose, but also because the oakmoss drydown comes on early and lasts a long time. I have a fairly old bottle, so I don't know if latter bottles would have been effected by the EU oakmoss restrictions, but for oakmoss fans this is a must-try.
Despite vigorous scrubbing in the shower, I think I'm still getting some 'bleed-through' of Chia, yesterday's SOTD. Testament to how damn high quality the Farmacia SS Anunziata line is, but irritating me today since I can't be sure what I'm smelling.

You lucky SOB. I think you would be duly obligated to send me at least a 15ml sample as a good will gesture

Saks Fifth Avenue for Him
honestly, this is my last L'Artisan purchase. their longevity sucks. and this is an EdP too. love the fragrance, hate the fact, that it's almost gone now (been almost 4 hours).
Sampling Guerlain Bois d'Armenie. I've never smelled the little burning papers this fragrance refers to, but it does remind be a bit of Nag Champa incense - but a very expensive, softly powdery Nag Champa incense. It's really beautiful.

silverbullet - you're jealous of me? I have a 50ml late-80s tester of Parure. Look at Mr.G's fantastic Parure flacon with the massive 'sculpture stopper'. Gorgeous.

Notes: Attar of Roses, Honey Notes, Spices
Not at work today, so I thought I would get away with a little mischief in the form of sporting this rosy, honeyed fragrance. It shouldn't raise any eyebrows if worn on a man, but of course, people being what they are, it would... One of the originals from the L'Art et la Matière series, this is a beautiful composition of rose attar (the purest form of rose oil extraction), honey notes (for a slight animalic quality), and a blend of subtle spicy notes; the whole gives this an incredible cachet. It has a nice, but not overwhelming sillage and very good longevity on my skin.

I craved verbena this morning when I woke up. Must be the warm temperatures and great sun I'm having lately.
Molinard's Vervienne for me, and I splashed it on heavy. Oh baby I wish this lasted.

Today I am sampling a fragrance from "the" house
Creed Original Santal
In full disclosure, I absolutely LOVE my GIT and Tabarome Millesime.
However, I do understand where some of the Creed bashers are coming from. This fragrance is wearing with very weak projection and very poor longevity. In addition, what is there, is really not that interesting or provocative. I believe I will pass on this one.
One must wonder how houses like Boucheron and Hermes, for instance, do not seem to have an issue in adding sufficient parfum oil to their fragrances where Creed for some reason does!
Ah, the beauty of sampling before purchase.
Everyone have or continue to have a Great Monday!

I'm rockin' the Cuba Gold today. I keep it in my car for fragrance emergencies - if it goes bad, another bottle's just 4 dollars!
SotD: Azzaro pour homme
SotE: L'Eau d'Issey pour homme
I love cologne.

This morning I wore Gucci Envy - it seemed to smell better today than I remembered it!
This evening I sampled L'artisan Ambre Extreme - actually not bad, and better than I thought I would like it based on the reviews and comments I read. Well, it's still resting on my arm... so we shall see how it develops!

L'Air du Desert Marocain
It's warm enough today that I'm getting some serious sillage from this concoction. It comes across as a little animalic in this weather. Weirdly I don't think I've often worn it when it's been over 50F. I like.

SOTD: Sisley - Eau de Campagne
SOTE: Dior Homme
Eau Sauvage Fraicheur Cuir
SOTD: CDG 2 Man - I really like this, and it has been going all day even while I am crawling around surveying a large warehouse for a robotics project. It does not last quite as well as Encre Noire though. I am starting to be able to tell more and more difference between these two, and I may have to spring for a bottle of 2 Man at some point.
I really really love this..I might have to wear it tomorrow!!!
If God wore a fragrance ,it would be this!!!
Dirty English by Juicy Couture
I've liked this one from the very beginning, but I didn't spring for it until I got a nice gift card. Well, I bought the whole shooting match - EDT, AS, deo, and shower gel. This stuff just smells great to me. Not sure what it is that I like - mostly it's in the heart - I guess it's the woody blend that they advertise as the "Santal Fatale Accord" () - and a bit of the topnotes, but the drydown is perfectly fine. Nice fragrance, a bit like Dolce & Gabbana the one For Men.
Cartier Santos Eau de Sport
Wore Tierre D'Hermes today, and just showered and put on a spray and a half of D&GPH
Looking for Hermessence Ambre Narguile and for TFPB Moss Breches (50ml bottle), willing to pay in cashdollars. PM me!
