Unhappy great experience with aus Liebe zum Duft

I'm very happy with the quality of the service when buying samples at "aus Liebe zum Duft".
The packaging is very secure, and they send the BIG samples very fast.
    I must say it.

    Now for my samples:
Gendarme fragrances: all but not Carrière
Montale: Lime Aoud, Blue Amber & Ginger Musk
    Profumo: Victrix

I also tried A LOT of L'Artisan, Lutens and Creed fragrances in my city (Brussels).

The Gendarmes don't smell nice (lavender soap on my skin).
The Montales I've tried... Aoud Lime stinks, Ginger Musk smells bad, Blue Amber is not that bad but I would never buy it, it's too common for me.
Victrix has no sillage and no longevity, same for L'Artisan, same for Creed.
    Most Lutens smell disgusting.

So the only niche I've bought that I love is Hinoki CdG: it smells like paradise... but longevity and sillage are. only "OK", what I really don't like at such a price.

Designer fragrances I loved before are all discontinued... Benetton Colors BLACK bottle (not the blue), Trend by Les Copains, Dreamer Versace, ...

I admit I am sad that I can't find my HG.
    I'm tired of sampling.
I really want to know which fragrance will be my new HG.
    Really.

Great company run by a guy who knows (and therefore I assume loves) his frags.

I think it won't be a niche fragrance.
They are not longer lasting, not better smelling than designer fragrance.
    But they are more expensive.

Even if Hinoki smells perfect, it doesn't have enough power.

L'Artisan has some very nice frags like Fou d'Absinthe and Passage d'Enfer but again they don't, same for Creed.

    Etc.

They have been very nice to me one on one but so far I have yet to receive my 11 samples. 2 weeks and counting. Still can't wait to get the larger samples.

For me as well longevity is really important.

A few idea of the AZLD offer that I really love are :

The different company, quite a few a worth a try, i would go with (in this order to start with)
    - Bois d'Iris
    - Sel de Vetiver
    - Bergamote

A few Montale I would recommend are
    - Greyland
    - Aoud Queen Rose
    - Black Aoud
    - Intense Tiare

    Then :
    - Piguet, Bandit
    - Nasomatto, Duro
    - MPG - Santal Noble
    - Lubin - Idole
    - L. Villoresi - Uomo
    - L. Villoresi - Sandalo
    - L. Villoresi - Yerbamate
    - Eau d'Italie - Bois d'Ombrie
    - Eau d'Italie - Paestum Rose
    - Domenico Caraneci - 1913
    - Czech and Speake - No 88
    - D'orsay - Le dandy and/or Le chevalier
    - Caron - L'anarchiste
    - Caron - 3rd Man
    - Caron - Pour un Homme
    - Bois 1920 - Bois 1920
    - Bois 1920 - Sandalo et the
    - Andy Tauer - Incense Rosé
    - Andy Tauer - L'air du désert marocain
    - Acqua di Parma - Assoluta

Just a few idea but all available at ALZD and all bottle worthy for me.

    Enjoy

Bottles from ALZD take about two weeks, samples about 10 days. I've ordered many times with no problem at all.

The best experience I had with them is actually when they made a mistake. They sent me a sample of vintage Route du Vetiver based on which I bought a full bottle. When the bottle came it smelled completely different. I had no idea of the MPG reformulations then. After some searching in the forums here I contacted them asking if they had actually sent me something different from what I sampled. Their response? They sent me the rest of the vintage tester bottle free of charge!

This is how good they are!

I would've bought full bottles from them if they were only willing to remove VAT for goods shipping to US. But, I agree that their service is first class when I order samples.

How large are the samples, btw? I'm just wondering because the price they're charging is a bit too much when compared to either luckyscent or Les Senteurs.

You may just be trying the wrong fragrances. Gendarme or L'Artisan is the last thing I'd think of if you're looking for naked power. On the other hand, you don't seem to like powerhouses like Lutens, because - well, why? Too sweet (but you like The Dreamer)? I'd also give some fragrances more time. Great fragrances often require repeated smelling and study to be fully appreciated and it's amazing what kinds of turnarounds one can make.

Here are some suggestions if you like it strong:
    Bogart pour homme
    YSL: Kouros
    d'Orsay: Le Dandy
    Chanel: Egoiste, Antaeus
    Guerlain: Héritage EdP
    Mugler: Amen
    Mazzolari: Mazzolari or Lui
    Creed: Vintage Tabarome, Royal Delight
    Malle: Musc Ravageur
    Caron: 3eme homme
    My Wardrobe
II est de forts parfums pour qui toute matière/Est poreuse. On dirait qu'ils pénètrent le verre.

    Never, gupts.
Only an annual €10 coupon sent on your birthday redeemable for goods in the shop. (This of course, only for members who have chosen to disclose their birth date during the sign up process).

That is so untrue. (The latter is though.)

You will have much difficulty finding designer scents with longevity equivalent to most offerings from houses like from Montale, Lutens, Nasomatto. Furthermore, the diversity in niche is staggering -- you just have to keep on looking. You'll find that scent you're looking for in no time if you keep on sampling. Too bad the OP hasn't signed in for months. I take it he stopped sampling, which is a shame. To everyone else -- keep on sampling!

Anyway, ALZD has very generous samples that can almost be considered as decants IMO.

You cannot compare Luckyscent and ALzD samples. If you actually take the volume into consideration they are cheap.

Should be there any day. It generally arrives between 2 and 3 weeks. It never takes a full 3 weeks and I'm only 500 miles from you as you know.
