Default Sporty fragrance without "sport" in the name

I'm looking to find a sporty fragrance. I own a mini of Instinct and rather like it, but I want something more potent, long-lasting, higher quality, and higher prestige. I've played football my whole life and I would like something with a grassy vibe (vetiver?), a small bit of earthy spice, and a very cool nature. Anybody have anything in mind that might be appropriate for me to check out? I would prefer something that is not named ...SPORT... I have owned in the past Polo Sport (smells like Off), Kouros Sport (weak), Instinct (weak), and Mugler Cologne (not very sporty). Any ideas guys?

I happen to be wearing it right now, and a second replacement bottle will be arriving in the mail today as well!

Amen, to that! Although I don't reall think of it in a sporty way, I don't know why. But is comfortably in my top 3. In the same sort of "green" realm. I find Bleecker Street, to be sort of sporty, very casual, damn does it smell good as well.

After trying this, I agree completely...it fits part of the description.

Yes! I beat everyone to it. BTW, this is the first time I have ever responded with Cool Water to a thread. Had to be done. Bring on the congratulatory applause.

    porsche design: the essence

it's brilliant. really. the only designer scent introduced in 2008 that i allowed myself to go near....it's very 'cold', and very green and arctic at the same time. it's the only 'fresh' scent in my entire collection, but it transcends the genre.

It sounds like you don't want a 'sports fragrance', but rather a light vetiver/earthy fragrance

If you want to blow a LOT of money, Bois un Sepia by Serge Lutens is the highest priced sports fragrance out there. Other high-priced options are Hermes Vetiver Tonka and Chanel Sycomore

    Less expensive options:

Prada Infusion d'Homme (vetiver is a listed note but not distinctly noticeable)
Hugo Boss Baldessarini EdC (tobacco 'fresh' cologne)
    Ralph Lauren Polo Modern Reserve
    Hermes Equipage

Thanks for the suggestions. I used to own and love Paul Smith Story. I also have a spray sample of L'eau par Kenzo and it is close, but it's longevity isn't great. I am interested in the Paco Rabanne XS, but no store near me sells them (unless Perfumania does, I will check). CDG Vetiveru is on my list to test now as well as Green Valley, and Erolfa. Thanks again
