Default Has anyone tried La Reine Margot

I was wondering if anyone has tried the new fragrance La Reine Margot in Les Parfums Historiques by Maître Parfumeur et Gantier?

I am so curious about this fragrance, and what impression it gives; not to mention how I adore Marguerite de Navarre (La Reine Margot), the daughter of Catherine de Medicis.

This fragrance was composed by perfumer Nicolas de Barry, he also created the lovely George Sand perfume in the same collection, and used ingredients known to have been utilized by Marguerite de Navarre; jasmine, amber, and musk.

I am just longing to try this, so please let me know your impressions.

If anyone has this I would love to swap samples, please let me know.

Not a soul here in the land of fragrant delights has tried this scent?
Has anyone heard anything about it?
    Please, let me know.

I have a sample. I don't think I liked it but I don't remember why. I will look for it ( I have to go through a pile to find it. Sorting is my NY resolution!) & will check in. I recall it was a let down after loving G. Sand. Kind of sweet & light... but don't hold me to it.

Thank you so much, I hope you find it.

    Brielle87,

I have not tried it but, for what I read in this review, it must be lovely,

Thank you so much for the link, it does sound delicious. But I wish someone stocked it where I am, I would love to smell before spending so much.

Thank you again for the link

Basing on the history and the movie (luv Isabelle Adjani and Virna Lisi in that movie) I was expecting something with bloody orange
Jokes aside, sounds an intriguing scent. Once I smelled George Sand and, despite I'm not into such ambery scents, I admired the graceful classic balance in it.

What a wonderful movie, and goodness let us not forget Vincent Perez, he is quite nice also.

It's been two years since your post I'm wondering if you got this perfume in the end... I'm just sampling it now and went to BN to see what other people are saying about it.
I have alittle vial of a Jasmin absolute, so Reine Margot smells like this - narcotic. I love it! So far the closest to real jasmin I've smelled.

Yes, I think it is good stuff (straight-forward), but I can't wear it.

As I recall it is a very good jasmine. The catch: you have to like jasmine (a tricky note for me, when it is dominant). I'll see if I can dig up my sample...
