Peggy: "Brother Boy has tried to kill himself. He jumped out of his bedroom window."
Latrelle: "Isn't he only on the second floor?"
Peggy: "Yes, but he hit his head on a lawn gnome."

SOTD is Pierre De Lune which was a quick purchase from another basenoter (thanks, Joe!) What a treat this was this week! I have been so sick with this flu, or whatever the heck it is. Not only is the scent perfectly divine: a soft comfy violet iris musk but Joe's package was bursting with goodies.
It was just the kindness I needed to make me feel better.

Well, I've had several SOTDs today. Started out early this morning with Aramis Havana, then applied some TF Tuscan Leather while at a perfume shop, and since that didn't agree with my wife at all, I've just applied a liberal amount of Creed Original Vetiver to mask the Tuscan Leather. I think I smell great.
Stephen Jones by Comme des Garcons (first time from a sample - thanks nsamadi)
Love it. Smells like a barbershop version of the woman's fragrance White Linen by Lauder: aldehydes, violets and copier toner cartridge. So weird and yet very wearable.

I've had a decant of this sitting around for a while and I finally woke up to giving it a full wear. WOW! I'm getting a lot of spicy florals (carnation, right?) with a touch of powdery (heliotriope) and vanilla underneath. It's really nice... why oh why do these bottles have to be so desirable (and expensive)?
SOTD: Decant day for me - Dior Homme. For some reason, this one smells like vanilla on me - I know that is not one of the notes, but it does. I am having a tough time getting past that smell.

Heritage EDT for a Friday night dinner with a close friend. Life is good people.
first test of L'Artisan Tea For Two.
Hit me like a plastic-coated, mothball-laden civet bomb out of the bottle (it's the same musk they use in Mure et Musc), followed by ginger, cinnamon, and a hit of flour. After about three hours, the musk died down and it actually smelled like tea for about 5 minutes. Then, vanilla crept in and mixed with the cinnamon for a very gourmand few hours (I suppose it's still similar to Chai tea, though).
Definitely interesting (I love scents that progress), but not what I was hoping for...
