Default Best Everyday Scent: I Need Your Vote

I've narrowed it down to the ones I like most. Here they are, for everyday use, with jeans, a t shirt, and a polo too.

    Issey Miyake

    Polo Black (not Double Black)

    Polo Blue

    Bulgari Pour Home

Just Me by Paris Hilton (similar to Aqua di Gio, some argue smells even nicer).

If you've smelled all of these frequently and can ascertain which you like most for every-day usage please cast your vote now, assuming you have smelled all of them. Thank you in advance.

Not a fan of Blue and some of the others but I think Black is a pretty good scent that can work at all times.

Of the options you have have provided, I would probably say Bulgari Pour Homme. I am not a jeans and T-shirt guy, but I think BPH would suit your look pretty well.

Thanks, just wanted to point out that this is for the 20s range, I just graduated college and dress typically and the like.

Would you prefer Bulgari Black over Pour Homme? I smelled it and always that it was bit too cloying.

My vote would be for the Polo Blue.....it's light and inoffensive, and can be dressed down or up.

I would agree with this...(As Otto goes to the Smellies trunk and searches for his Polo Blue........."Ah!...There you are." He blows a little dust off and places it on his dresser for use......)

IMO Polo Blue is a cheap ass ripoff fake fragrance (bottle, smell etc.).. but that's just my opinion so I'd pick Bulgari Homme.

I kind of felt that way too, in a small way, but what about Polo Black?

Thanks for that. I'm starting to think I should have replaced Just Me by Paris with Aqua di Gio...then maybe everyone would vote Aqua? Because its more well known? But that's just me.

I would say the Bvlgari PH. If you had to wear the issey miyake, I like the intense version better but out of that type of genre, nothing beats DG Light Blue - its great.

I like Polo Black, but I think you should get whichever one you like best, or get more than one if you really can't decide. Nothing wrong with that, and variety is always good.

    I'm currious to know:
    * Which one makes you feel more comfortable?
    * Which one makes you feel more happy?

An everyday scent has to be effortless, gracefull and provide you with comfort.

Nothing in your selection is offensive or obtrusive in anyway, which is a big requirement for "everyday". They also tend to be upbeat(due to the citrus clean theme), which is what you want. You can't go wrong with either from your selection.

to me Issey might be the better smelling, except i don't think you could wear it daily without getting tired of it OR making people around you tired. so i pick Blue. Polo

For me it would have to be both Issey and Bulgari PH. Yes, both! Issey is superb, even though some might call it "common" and BPH is pure class although it can come across as very ethereal. I had trouble even smelling it when I first tried it, but I've really learned to appreciate its class.

Sorry, I wouldn't be caught dead wearing anything with the moniker of that vacuous slag Paris Hilton on it

I'll be honest- Issey is the crowd pleaser, I loved my bottle, it was that that infact introduced me to basenotes indirectly...
Unfortunately, due to an unpleasent ex I don't wear it anymore...

Its such a beautiful scent though! I would never cease to reccomend it as an informal frag!

Out of the five you have listed, I've smelled L'eau D'Issey, Polo Blue, and Polo Black. IMO L'eau D'Issey is the best of the three.

They are so different it's difficult to see what would be your choice..

    Bulgari Pour Homme...
More elegant, masculine, fresh, and decent longevity...

Issey: it's very fresh and somewhat boring but it's a good scent. A lot of people will like you wearing this, as Angeldust said, it's a crowd pleaser...

The rest are more common, and less interesting to me, if you just want to blend in, wear any of the remaining scents.

WELL, wow!! Thanks for the advice so far, but guess what. I just smelled an unbeknownst cologne to me, its called Canali Men by Canali, launched in 05. What a refreshing overturn! So light and breezy I fell in love. It is BETTER than Aqua di Gio as I kept doing sniff comparisons on the paper. Has anyone smelled? It got good reviews on basenotes directory. I think this may be it.

I think Body Kouros is a good all rounder, gets lots of female compliments.
