We're all in the same game; just different levels. Dealing with the same hell; just different devils.
so, which one version of kouros is more similar to hte original kouros?
question: has anyone tried the Kouros Deodorant spray? How does it project and how does it smell compared to the EDT?
The KOUROS "Cologne Sport" eau de cologne is not discontinued - so you can still try that.
And YSL often / usually release a summer fragrance, which the OP indicates seems to be the Energising Tonique in a different guise.
- does somebody know the INCI of Kouros after shave lotion?
-somebody use it? how do you rate it? is it good for sensitive skins too?

Great review, don't forget about Body Kouros, which is amongst my faves (and I'm wearing today)!
Body Kouros, as I think most would agree, is Kouros in name only. All of the other flankers have a "Kouros-y" undertone and dry down, but Body Kouros is simply awful and smells NOTHING like Kouros or any of the flankers. It's the only cologne to this day that I have returned to the store.
What a visual treat! Excellent photos.
What do insomniac perfumers do to fall asleep? They count chypres!
Gotcha. I've acquired samples of most of the Kouros line myself, though any review I do would pale in comparison.
@ guys who saw the movie "carnage"
does some recognized which one scent of Kouros family they talked about and criticized?
^^ What happened? Kouros was talked about in a movie?

Kouros Plein Air i believe is from 1991, i have this too and at the bottom of the bottle you can see "Yves Saint Laurent Parfums Corp"
Its not a bad scent, but not the best out of the Kouros flankers that i have tried. I probably rate the Plein Air last along with Body Kouros. But still a nice addition to have in any Kouros collection. Espcially considering the HUGE 200ML bottle it comes in.
I received my 90s Kouros Tester and its wonderful! Its more musky and incensed. The civet is very prominent but blends well with the florals and artemisia.
Kouros really ages well , I wore my 90s Kouros and I got compliments from 3 girls at work. They said it smells citrusy and smokey/musky.
Remember that while it is perfectly acceptable to criticize the content of a post - criticizing the poster is not.
Mean spirited, nasty, snide, sarcastic, hateful, and rude individuals don't warrant or deserve other individuals' acknowledgement or respect.
Guess I should pull the trigger on the vintage bottles I found...

There is one Kouros Flanker missing from this post...
“I have the simplest tastes. I am always satisfied with the best.” - Sir Oscar Wilde
I love those blue bottles! I gotta go out and try Kouros again. I had a bottle about 5 yrs ago, and I went through it in no time.
Firstly, I'd like to thank Andrewthecologneguy for his rigorous investigation into the various Kouros summer flankers! Without this valuable resource, navigating these waters would have been perilous to say the least.
I first referred to this thread after having been inspired by the recent Kouros in summertime thread. Since then, I've scoured around town trying to find any overlooked & dusty Kouros flankers. I finally got my nose on Kouros Eau d'Été Summer (2005), Kouros Tattoo Edition (2007) & Kouros Summer Edition (2008).
The performance of these flankers are quite particular:
1) They have a jarringly synthetic opening for the first 10-15 mins. Once the initial spray has settled, then appears the obvious Kouros DNA, in cologne concentration.
2) Another odd thing about these compositions, is that there's little to no perceptible skin scent (so beware, over-spraying may be an easy factor with these). Instead, the light muskiness of the original DNA is discreetly present in the wafting sillage.
3) One last thing to note about their unique performance, is that they definitely project better in heat, as any rise in body temperature allows these to bloom to their full potential.
I chose Tattoo for its' light hint of incense, as opposed to the herbs of Eau d'Été (diminishing the similarities to the original) or the muskiness of Summer Edition (which caused a plasticine effect). Although the calone is obvious in the opening, I found that once settled, the use of this synthetic meshes this composition into an amalgamation, as opposed to a sum of disjointed parts, which was somewhat evident from the other two.
I'm quite pleased to say, that this acquisition has definitely filled an overlooked niche within my summer rotation. Meanwhile, this OP needs to be updated with Kouros Energizing (2010) & Kouros Eau de Toilette Tonique (2011,2014) ASAP!

Please note that there are two vintage editions of Kouros Eau de Sport.
I tried the original Kouros. While it was unique and interesting, I overall did not like it. Therefore, I didn't try the dozen flankers out there for it.
So you mentioned back in 2013 that the bottle was enroute to you but you never followed up with any impressions. Care to upload a few more photos?
Anyway, given all the work that was put into this fake, it's baffling why the creator didn't go the extra "few inches" and finish it off. The parts not done (top and bottom of box) would've been easy to do in comparison to the leather wrapping of the bottle.

Well, I stand corrected. I *did* find that elusive Kouros Cuir edition.
Must've been a major blunder in formulation though, given how you never ever see it anywhere for resale.
Ur missing BODY Kouros edt.
