    Hi
im only 24 but somehow I have this weird thinning hair from the frontal portion of my hair

I mean that the first say 1-2 inches of the hair closest to my face is thinning compared to the rest of my hair and I have no clue why this is

its not male pattern baldness so I cant explain it

let me know what you guys think and if there is a way to stop it

I don't think there's a lot to do with over-the-counter products to stop thinning hair. Medicine may help, although I don't think they'll give it out in mild cases. Most of the times, it's just genetics.

If you live and eat healthy, get enough sleep, that's the best what you can do. The rest is up to mother nature who is not always fair in life.

Rogaine seems to work for a lot of men (and women). Use the Internet to find out information. Early intervention also seems to be best.

Dude, you live in Los Angeles. You can't swing a dead cat in this town without hitting a hair transplant surgeon. If I had a receding hairline, I would probably go see that Bosley Medical Group in Beverly Hills. They pull hair follicles from the back of your head and put them in front, perfect for your type of hair loss.

If you don't want to try rogaine or hair transplant, just shave it all off and walk around confidently.

    Thickening shampoo works wonders.

I'm 25 and have the same issue. I mentioned it to my doctor and he said insurance doesn't cover any of those treatments because its cosmetic. He recommended either generic Rogain or a pill is supposed to help. I refuse to take the pill because it screws with your hormones and testosterone levels.

Look on the bright side I've seen guys 22 with big old bald spots. Hell one 22 yr old I'm in school with is completely bald.

Whatever you decide to do, do it as soon as possible. Things like Rogaine aren't effective if you already lost most of your hair...
