    Default Work rotation frags

I'm curious as to what you guys choose to wear in your work rotation.

I work in culinary, so it can get a bit hot, however where I work for the past year it's not so bad as other places I've been. I don't exactly wear lighter fragrances, but nothing heavy either, at least for work. I prefer cost effective juice for my line of work and save the bomb frags for after work is done.

Here's what I like to wear when I'm cooking, yelling, stressing and basically ready to throw hot food at people.

    Carven Homme
    Chevignon
    Envy
    t.gregory EDP
    Instinct
    273 Indigo
    Kors
    Bahama
    Tomorrow for Him
    Eau de Rochas
    Tenere

My current "work" rotation, for the winter months, is as follows:

    Himalaya
    Bois du Portugal
    Villoresi Vetiver
    Acqua di Parma Colonia Assoluta
    Bvlgari Extreme PH

I thought that in the Culinary business you're not supposed to wear a scent, at least a strong one, well that's what a couple of cooks told me...it's because the scent can odor-contaminate the food or something like that, specially if you are a baker, where the dough can easily "absorb" kitchen odors.
In any case, i have wore -while cooking- all the Jardins (Hermès) and some citrus-based scents (because when the kitchen is hot, i like to smell very fresh) and nothing has happened.

My steak still smelled like steak.

My workplace can at times get rather, ahem, pungent as a result of the human condition. I tend to go for the gusto during the winter months when the heater keeps things toasty.

Yea.....as a chef or a cook, you don't want to wear overbearing juice. Not because it will contaminate the food or leach an odor into it, but because it's just plain hot and that sets off certain fragrances ( example...Jules !!!). Also, if you are in close quarters with others in a hot environment, it's not considerate.

Since I am no longer an executive chef or manager, I work alone in a casino kitchen. I wear chest spritzes for work in order that nothing is on my arms or hands to start the day. The extreme hand washing also safeguards contaminants.

Wonderful selections - mind if I borrow some of your choices?

Maybe my work fragrances need some tweaking.. or spending too much time on Basenotes during work hours - that might explain some things too!

Not all necessarily my favorites, but inoffensive enough for the office I work in:

    Guerlain Homme
    Terre d'Hermes
    Guerlain Vetiver Eau Glacee
    Guerlain L'Instant ph
    Azzaro ph

    and on special occasions:

Sycomore (not really officey, but too good to resist)
L'Air du Desert Marocain (my lady boss likes it too)

Nice choices. I also love the avy. That is one of my favorite Chow movies !

My choices seem to be affected by a billion factors from how long it's been since I last wore a particular frag or a "theme" (say oriental, woody, incense, oud etc.) to what I had for breakfast and sometimes even what frags I smell on people on the way to work (I usually spray when I get to the office because of having to wear warm clothing and a scarf up here in Canada). I noticed that if I have something sweet for breakfast like toast with honey, I am less likely to go for a "sweet" frag, but would probably reach for a heavier, woody one.

The ones getting the most use lately are:

    Guerlain L'Instant Extreme
    Guerlain Homme
    Amouage Jubilation XXV
    Creed Green Irish Tweed
Oriscent's ouds: Sheikh's Borneo, Royal Kinam, Archipelago

    Thanks and thanks, AromiErotici!

KFH is one of the best slapstick movies ever made, in any genre or language. The Helen of Troy character makes me literally LOL, with the drooping cigarette, muumuu and flip-flops. Chow is an underrated comic genius.

No problem, anthony! Those are all pretty safe, inoffensive scents in my opinion (although Dior Homme is stretching it just a bit for my office environment). Then again, I wore Kouros today (light application!!) and I haven't been sent home to wash it off, so who knows?

Whew, last night I sampled Dior Homme Sport as a possible office contender. Out of the question.

Nice enough scent, but far too strong and far too tenacious. I went home and scrubbed it, and I'm still smelling it the next day. Yikes.

That'll teach me to trust anything with "Sport" in the name!

Since I sit in my office alone most of the day, I pretty much wear whatever I want. One of my co-workers seems to not like oud much, so I avoid wearing Tom Ford Oud Wood when I know we'll be in close quarters that day. Everything else is fair game.

I work in a typical office environment, and I think I’ve worn pretty much everything I have to work at one time or another (well, not Kouros), but my usual work fragrances would be

    Bowling Green
    Caswell-Massey Sandalwood
    Dior Homme
    Kyoto
    L’Instant de Guerlain EDT
    Polo Black
    Sander for Men
    Tuscany

In the summertime, I would add

    Adidas Moves
    Claiborne Sport
    Eau de Rochas Pour Homme
    Greenergy

Nice choices. I've been curious about Caswell Massey. How's the projection on it?

I would say medium. It's not particularly loud on me, but the longevity is pretty good. I think it's a nice work frag, pleasant and comfortable.

I'll wear anything to work except for gourmands or scents heavy on vanilla - those are reserved for after work.

I work in an office environment, although I am told that if I go into certain classes of clean room, no perfume is allowed due to contamination issues. I feel comfortable wearing these:

    Acqua di Parma Colonia Assoluta
    Acqua di Parma Iris Nobile
    Chanel Exclusifs Eau de Cologne
    Chanel No. 19
    Miller Harris Tangerine Vert
    Miller Harris Terre d'Iris
    Divine L'Homme Sage
    Bois 1920 Sandalo e The
    Shiseido Energizing Fragrance
    Prada Infusion d'Iris
Bulgari Eau Parfumee au The Rouge and The Blanc
    Parfum d'Empire Osmanthus Interdite
    Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess
    Dior Homme
    Helmut Lang EDP

Office and I wear whatever I feel like wearing that day, I think I have worn everything in my wardrobe to work at one point or another. But I don´t think I have any real shockers in my wardrobe. On the occasions I feel bad for over applying I seem to get more compliments on my perfume as well.
But once you get locked into a serious perfume collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can.
