    Default MPG George Sand-Not Parfumes des Histoires

    I believe this George Sand is not the same one that is shown in the Directory currently;

    George Sand is listed under Maison Nicholas De Barry, former perfumer (?) at Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier. It seems he took with him "George Sand" and other creations from the historical fragrances line when he established his own brand. http://www.basenotes.net/ID26141330.html

    I have it in that bottle too (and a large decant of 1804 from HdP).

    There's mention of George Sand on MPG's facebook page dated March 27, 2013:
    https://www.facebook.com/pages/Maitr...r/318617526433

    The translation versions states:

    "The comeback of the Eau de Parfum GEORGE SAND.

    Hi all

    Eau de parfum George Sand, that everyone was waiting for months, is more haunting than ever.
    Barry Nicholas, the creator, has redesigned the bottle and its showcase for our greatest pleasure.
    The range of «Historical perfumes» awaits you on the site: www.maisonnicolasdebarry.com and in our shop: 5 rue de Capucines, 75001 Paris.

    Very soon.."

    It would be interesting to do a side-by-side comparison of the original MPG and the reissue to see if there was any change to the juice.

    I am surprised to see no reviews of the MpG/ MNdB scent and wonder if some of the reviews under 1804 are in fact referring to the fragrance formerly by MPG. Some of those reviews make no mention of the heavy dose of 1804's pineapple and there's much discussion about the patchouli heart, which IMHO is far more prevalent in the bottles that used to have an MPG label. I also don't get a sense of dryness in 1804 either - only in the MPG.

    Since MPG George Sand was initially a limited edition that was later rereleased by MNDB maybe Basenotes' directory could be modified in some way to clarify which listing is for which scent. Pictures of the three bottles could be helpful.

    I agree. I will enter it into the directory as a former, now discontinued fragrance under MPG, with a note about the new version. It's up to Grant to decide if it deserves a place in the directory.

    kumquat, that would be great
    You can post it in this thread: http://www.basenotes.net/threads/370...rance-pictures
    Judith browses it when she is readying new entries in the directory.
