Thread: Women Scents for Men
Hi all. Any suggestions for pour femme scents but smells very masculine/woody? A classic example of this category is like D&G Light Blue or Hermes Eau des Merveilles. I am very curious to try pour femme scents that suits a man. I feel that most Unisex scents tends to be more feminine than masculine though. Thanks.
Paco Rabanne Metale -- a bitter, green, metallic floral
Clinique Aromatics Elixir -- not for everyone but I love it; sort of hard to describe, actually
Estee Lauder Knowing -- very "grand;" it reminds me of sugared brandy or bourbon or something, and it has tons of sillage
Beverly Hills Perfumery

I like Hermès Elixir des Merveilles as a guy. L'Eau de Kasaneka by Menard is a good one (a bit woody, too). Also, the pour femme version of L'Instant de Guerlain is very similar to the pour homme, in my opinion, with a subdued floral nature that makes it great for a guy. I think that Kenzo Amour, Kenzo Amour Indian Holi, and Kenzo Jungle Elephant are decent for guys, too, although I personally haven't smelled Jungle Elephant.
If light blue is your benchmark then anything by Guerlain will surfice. Also try some of my favourites:

Ava Luxe Midnight Violet smells very woody to me -- make it burned out woods and crushed greens. Nothing floral/girly about it, contrary to what the name may suggest.

I reread the thread question more closely (I should have done so the first time!) and have to amend my recommendations, to exclude Paco Rabanne Metale.
Kelly Caleche - Guerlain (leather) never felt feminine and has great longevity
ointments and perfume delight the heart....
Keiko Mecheri Oliban, Donna Karan Black Cashmere, Channel Bel Respiro, Sycomore, Cuir de Russie, Bois des Iles, Claudie Pierlot Mon Premier, Parfum d'Empire Ambre Russe, Caron Tabac Blond, Poivre, Guerlain Spiritueuse Double Vanille, Le Labo Patchouli, Marc Jacobs Ivy, Florascent Ksar, Juozas Statkevicius, Gucci Eau de Parfum, IPdF Ambra del Nepal
I'm not sure what smells masculine vs. femme these days; I've gotten so many whiffs of pretty smelling men (wearing scents labeled for/marketed to men). Both rose and carnation smell masculine to me.
Here are some that are sufficiently woody, herbal, or leathery:
Opium-edt, edp, or parfum
Azuree, the original
Youth Dew Bath oil
Vol de Nuit (parfum may be a better fit)
2nd- Black Cashmere, Aromatics Elixir, and Cuir de Russie.
